A very central hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is very quaint with an eclectic mix of furnishing and room styles. Both the setting of the restaurant and the food are lovely. There is no aircon but each room has a cool air fan . I shouldn't recommend it as I don't want it to be full... More

The location was convenient, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly, the waiter was young and needed some more practice, the room was clean, the decor was dated and the whole place felt like an auction room but it was ok for a night's stay.

Now, I write this review as someone with a passion for 1970s decor. I fell in love with the green tiled bathroom and bidet complete with soap holder. That quirk aside, this is a lovely old-fashioned hotel. I have stayed in both the main hotel and the annex and I personally prefer the annex as the rooms were bigger and... More

The double room was spacious and had views over the road. The hygiene standard was good and there was sufficient toiletries and towels. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning unit worked very effectively. The location was good next to the river and it was fairly quiet at night so you could sleep easily without being disturbed by... More

Stayed here with a friend on the last night of our Cathar Way(Sentier Cathare) walk. The room was huge, a twin but with plenty of space for two double beds. Our room overlooked the small square at the front and we slept extremely well. The hotel itself has a certain old-fashioned charm, a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Buffet breakfast was... We stayed one night in May 2014. The hotel has OK reviews but there is not much choice in Foix if you want to stay in the old part of town. We arrived fairly late and did not have a reservation - but we called as we got closer and were told that there are rooms available. What we were... More

Stayed here Sept 14 for one night. Ideal central location, overlooking the river. Old fashioned rooms, but a good size and perfectly usable. No air con, and road/railway is noisy during day if you have teh windows open. Some lovely architectural features, a delightful semi-circular staircase, balcony etc. Food was OK, but not stunning, however the place was full so... More

Slightly old fashioned in terms of décor however the service and food in the restaurant were great. We were part of a group and enjoyed the local specialities on offer. There was a lift. Other reviews are honest eg no air con, parking could be an issue. The road runs the other side of the river and through the night... More

Got into Foix and we got a room - we never book, so we were lucky. 2nd floor and facing the river. Our room was large, clean, a little tired in looks and wee short on the room for the toilet but the bathroom was large. Our room faced the river and opening the shutters got a lovely breeze. The... Our room was average in a simple country style with a good view over the river. It was a Sunday night and we were lucky to find a free (until 0900 on Monday morning) parking space immediately outside the front door. Parking could be a problem here. Pleasant lobby and excellent dining room overlooking the river where we had an... More
