This was our fifth time to Disneyland Paris, and this was by far the worst hotel we have used. It is noisy. Tea making facilities first day included 1 tea bag 1 hot chocolate, 2 coffee sachets,1 milk powder and sugar for four people. next day top up one tea bag, next four days nothing. so take your own tea bags etc. Swimming towels 2 euros each, soon mounts up with a family of four. GOOD: If you have little kids, the kids will feel right at home here: Indoor swimming pool with waterslide, indoor pirate ship next to the dining room, plenty for the kids to do. We have just returned from a long weekend at disney staying at the explorers for 3 nights. On arrival kept waiting to check in for 20 minutes only one person in front, the check in clerk was undergoing training - other staff would not help only interested in helping colleague with training. Cannot believe some of the negative reviews regarding this Hotel. Here is my opinion........ As I am a Travel Agent, I had a peek at all of the other hotels in DLP, and can honestly say that (apart from the Newport Bay, New York and Disneyland Hotel) it was the cleanest, nicest and most facilitated option. We stayed at the Explorer Hotel for three nights as a base for visiting Disneyland. The check in was quick and effortless. The rooms were quite basic but adequate. Breakfast was varied and quite relaxing considering the amount of children. The pool was great and much appreciated after a long day of Disney trekking (and the cocktails weren't bad either).... more
