This is by far the most luxurious hotel we stayed in Madagascar. The setting is magnificent and our room was beautiful. We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the national park. We had breakfasts and dinners at the hotel The food is french and very good and rich. We were also entertained by the staff, local folk dance, really... More

It is a beautifully constructed hotel hidden well into the extraordinary landscape. Very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is the most expensive hotel we stayed at on our trip. Overall we weren't disappointed but for the food, which looks great but tastes of very little... too much style over substance. We ate extremely... More

After almost two weeks of breathing 4 wheel drive dust and fighting mozzies, our driver pulled up to this wonderful hotel - among the nicest I've seen. Architecturally very well done - top quality. It looks like all the fixtures and many building components were imported from France. The bathroom had a huge mirror, and one has to wonder how... More

Great hotel, as close to perfect as any I've seen. Very clean, nice pool, hot showers. Even the rooms in the lowest category are very spacious and nice. The garden is great - walk around a bit, we felt that many guests are missing out on this. The atmosphere is very nice, there are a lot of local employees -... More

After a long day of travel we ended the day pulling up to this lovely property. Beautiful design, melds seamless into nature. Comfortable room, well appointed, considering it IS Madagascar. General manager on site and very engaging with her guests. Plenty of plugs in the room to charge all digital devices. Only downsides...electricity isn't 24 hours and dinners not fabulous.... More

The setting, the rooms, the decorations and plants in the gardens are all beautiful. The room was large with good mosquito netting. No kettle - a general problem in Madagascar - but since the power was not available a lot of the time that's rather academic. Food was good - breakfast in particular. Unlike some other reviewers, obtaining vegan food... More

I stayed here with my husband as part of a group tour in September. The location of the hotel is breathtaking, carved into the rock, and the rooms gorgeous. This really is a boutique hotel of a standard I was not expecting to find in Madagascar. The dining room looked wonderful, however there was no vegetarian main courses on the... More

An amazing place. No atmosphere though as there were barely any guests, but I am sure when it's busy the atmosphere is good. It seems that it used to be the most luxurious hotel in the area but now there are some more modern ones built where the tourist tend to go. It's a shame because it is situated amongst... More

The hotel really has a wonderful situation, but lacks what it builds itself up to be. (that seems to be the binding force of hotels in Madagascar). The rooms are really comfortable and of a good size with a patio/terrace area to relax which was really nice. The hotel does not offer you electricity for many hours of the day... More

What a wonderful place to stay! The hotel blends in with its surroundings beautifully, the staff are very helpful, polite and friendly, the accommodation is so comfortable, the facilities are great and the restaurant serves the most delicious food. Highly recommended!
