Stayed for two nights to explore the Daintree. The resort is right next to the main road: quite close to Alexandra lookout (there is mobile reception unlike in the rest of the area) and across the road from Cow Beach Hotel, where decent pub food is served and you can drink with locals. The owners were very helpful in terms... More

What a surprise and too good to call a motel, the setting is amazing, the rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed, even the cars are under cover. The breakfasts were really nice and the barramundi for our one evening meal was superb.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The owners were lovely people. We didnt book a room with a kitchen by accident but the owners were more than happy to accommodate. They assisted in booking our tours and the surroundings were lovely. Note there is no phone reception in the area

I stayed here recently for 3 nights. Clean, spacious rooms with more amenities than one might expect for such a remote place. wifi available in reception area. Truly delicious and plentiful local food. The owner/manager, Margaret is clearly passionate about the area she calls home and is only too keen to help with enquiries and wax lyrical about the fantastic... More

From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a treat. Glorious place to stay. It reminded me of Bali when I visited there over 20 years ago. Really liked the decor--v warm and vibrant. The manager Margaret was extremely helpful. Her passion for this region is infectious. We used the BBQ facilities for free--excellent. Rooms were very... More

A true gem in the beautiful Rain Forrest; Margaret welcomed us warmly, and provided expert advice on sites to be seen, as well as teaching us about the area's wildlife. Margaret went out of her way to instruct us on being safe.

A comfortable affordable place to stay to visit the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. We had a family room with two bedrooms. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The youngsters had fun in the pool at night although the weather was getting cool. The manager was very helpful with suggestions on places to visit whilst in the area and couldn't do too... More

We were in two minds about whether to stay a night at Cow Bay or head back to Cairns. It was a great decision to stop here. The managers are very friendly and welcoming and for us this place had a nice feel. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but for us it was perfect. The rooms are... More

This is a very nice and relaxing place to stay. Good price and nice rooms, cable TV with plenty of channels to browse through. Friendly and helpful reception staff and very nice are to stay. The only down side is that the property runs on generators and solar, so the pressure is minimal in the shower and not much hot... More

Tucked away from sight of the road and surrounded by rainforest with rooms facing into a grassy space where cassowaries are reputed to visit - sadly we didn't see any on our visit. Lovely swimming pool and outdoor dining area with delicious meals, Very friendly hosts - a delightful stay!
