We only stayed one night. Accomodation in the large tents directly in the rain forest is a nice setting. Sound environmental measures so that generators are not running all the time. Kitchen for self-use could be somewhat cleaner.

This place is great for escaping the modern world and going back to something more simple, I wish I could have stayed longer. Super friendly staff, great activities and a really good set-up for self-catering and enjoying the forest. The night walk was really interesting and the beach down the road is basically perfect! Recommended for a great jungle experience... More

Booked in here and arrived around 430 pm to find the place absolutely desserted. My name was written on a map hanging on the office door and instructions of where my "room" was. I use the term loosely. Id booked a double room to myself. My room was a shadecloth raised hut with no lockable door down the wnd of... More

A fantastic base to explore the wonders of Daintree. We had a fantastic guided night walk with Steve and really enjoyed our stay. It's a lovely relaxed vibe and a peaceful base to make day trips from. The shared kitchen is really well equipped and has a good system so works really well even with lots of people, but the... Me and the GF hired a car from Cairns for two days, heading up to Cape Tribulation and all the surrounding sights on the first day (so much natural beauty) then down around the mountains below Cairns on the 2nd day. Our midway stop off was the village, booking 30 minutes down from Cape Trib gave us a shorter day... More

Just what we were looking for. Quiet, unique accommodation in the heart of the forest. Good facilities, very clean and great people. We found their restaurant a bit overpriced but it was good quality! We highly recommend the Sunday night BBQ!! Good value for money

We were two famillieis and stayed at Crocodilus for one week in July 2015. We had a fantastic time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the infrastructure was very well engineered. Crocodilus is located inside the rainforest; it is organized and managed in a way that you feel completely secure. There is a common kitchen with all the... More

Sad to receive this review as Jade and Ricky really did seem to enjoy the BBQ and their evening with us prior to leaving on the night walk. The facts are as follows: Jade and Ricky checked in and decided to do the night walk that evening. They appeared to happily partake in the night walk along with another dozen... More

A really great place for a night. In keeping with the general Daintree forest. Great staff, (thanks for everything, Steve, Darlene and the boys), and quirky but fun accomodation under canvas (sort of). Sit on the verandah of your donga and listen to the birds, frogs, and Irish kids from next door yell when they spot a snake. A lot... More

We stayed 4 nights at Crocodylus. It was a great experience. The location is perfect, in the middle of Daintree rainforest, to discover the park. It is cool to stay in the middle of the forest. It is also nice to get under the covers and listen to all the animals walking around and hear the birds singing in the... More
