Visited Crocodylus Village with my wife recently, for a few days. Our cabin was at the edge of the resort, and therefore we had a lovely view of the rainforest. We also truly enjoyed listening to the sounds of the rainforest. There are around at least a dozen tours related to the Reef or the rainforest, conducted in the vicinity.... More

What a terrific place! The facilities are basic, but this is more than made up for by the delightful staff. They are always happy to recommend things to do during your stay- there are beautiful beaches, waterholes, jungle walks, tropical fruit tasting and wildlife spotting to do nearby. There is a terrific communal area and lovely little restaurant who serve... More

Enjoyed barbie which is provided every Sunday night. Great value for money, only 20 bucks for dinner and 2 drinks. Very good chance to meet the locals - all gather and have a good time. Better be there in time as seats sell quickly. Enjoy the hospitality

What a great place to stay north of the Daintree River! No cell phone signal and minimal wifi but what better way to connect with the rainforest? I think I had the best, most comfortable night's sleep in over three weeks in Australia in my single cabin... punctuated only by the occasional orange-legged scrub fowl calling in the night. That... The family that runs this place were wonderful. We had a real authentic rainforest experience here. They had lots of games to play while it was raining and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would definitely recommend!

We stopped at Crocodylus Village for a night on the way through to Cooktown, and I'm so glad we did. There is something about this style of accommodation that just attracts friendly and interesting people (and staff!). Our three kids loved it also, and found our accommodation the following night in Cooktown (in a 'conventional' hotel) totally boring by comparison!... More

We did not stay at the Crocodylus Village overnight but enjoyed dinner at their bistro, we highly recommend it. Honest country hospitality, the BBQ night was a winner, great value for the prize. The meat was cooked to perfection and the salads were fresh with a lot of variety. We went there a second time for dinner, the beef lasagna... More

Want to experience the rainforest first hand - this is the place for you! Crocodylus Village was recommended to us by a friend and we weren't disappointed that we decided to spend a few days under tarpaulin with some home comforts. Glamping (Glamorous Camping) in the best environment you could ask for. The accommodation is basic (that's the whole point)... More

I went up to the Daintree in 2011 but I didn't think I got the most out of it, so a return trip in 2014 was the plan. Crocodylus was my stay because I'd developed a liking for eco accommodation and this definitely wasn't a regret. The staff (Maree and Darlene were lovely) were really social and helpful in making... We had a great two days here in April 2015. Steve and Sally go out of their way to make sure you get the best from your stay. We had a large cabin with our own shower & toilet. It was very basic but clean. You don't need luxury in the rainforest! Unfortunately we had heavy rain for the two... More
