We stayed here one night and loved it! You stay in tents with beds in them and can hear the rain all night! We did a kayak tour they offered in the morning and had a great time. But ocean kayaking is way harder than it is on a lake! There is no wifi, but you're in the rainforest! There... More

We were given an extra day in our car so went here on the off chance that they would have space. So pleased that they did! The place is amazing. It's completely surrounded by rainforest and wildlife wanders through constantly. Managed to see a Bandicoot through the evening! The staff were really friendly and helpful. There's no WiFi, but you... More

Not for everyone, but for the easy going traveller or one not expecting lots of mod cons it is an interesting experience. arrive before dark to find your way from the car park and don't drag suitcases as all the tracks are gravelly and ruin the wheels, not to mention making it difficult and heavy. Felt like we had a... More

Crocodylus Village gives you experience of living in the jungle. You will feel that you have gone back to a simpler time. It may not be for those that can’t adapt. It is basic accommodation in bungalows built in the middle of the forest.

Crocodylus village is not for everyone. It is basic accommodation in bungalow like setting half way to the Daintree. The resort in nested in the forest at Cow Bay and provides guests with breakfast and dinner from a small kitchen. It is far from the main attractions and about 1 hour away from the PK's in the Daintree. It might... More

Thanks for the review - just a couple of notes on location and activities available First to location: the main point of entry to the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park is the ferry over the Daintree river. The sealed road north from the ferry to Cape Tribulation is around 40kms and passes through amazing rainforest, creeks and... More

The whole beauty of Crocodylus Village is the fact that it gives you an authentic, living-in-the-jungle experience. Built in the middle of the forest, it boasts about the fact that it is an "un-fenced location" in a forest & so one needs to be careful while walking around! True to the fact, all cottages are decently distant from each other... More

Not sure what happened to the shower information but showers are available (hot or cold) from 6.30-10.30AM and 4.30-8.30PM - this is when we run our bigger generator and the big water pump to give you lots of pressure FYI on the night walk - it costs $35pp and goes from 8-10pm nightly - it is a rainforest discovery walk... From Cairns, we rented a car and drove up to Daintree National Park. We found Crocodylus Village and booked online a few weeks previously. The resort is part of the rainforest experience. It is actually in the middle of nature, you are surrounded by giant mahogany tree and the sounds from birds, insects and whatnots will surround you day and... More

We spent five nights as a family of five & although accommodation is very basic we had a great time. The cabin tents are large, clean & spacious but don't really have any soul. A few comforts like an arm chair or small lounge with a coffee table could make a difference. Beds & linen are very basic but comfortable.... More

Arriving at Crocodylus was certainly a bit of a surprise - this is not your conventional hotel/motel. The cabins are well maintained and the mesh walls were a welcome reprieve from the air conditioned environments you'll find in Cairns. This must be one of the few places in the world where you can stay quite literally in the rainforest -... More

I spent a couple of nights at the village with my 81 year old mother, sister, neice and nephew and we all enjoyed it. The accomodation is basic but could sleep 5 of us comfortably in the same room and the cost was $150 per night (during school holidays). There is a communal kitchen to prepare your own food and...
