Just stayed here for 4 days, fantastic set up in tents, it rained heavily for first few days but we stayed nice and dry in our tent. The forest comes even more alive in the rain. Steve, the owner is very enthusiastic and friendly and knowledgable. You really need a car unless you want to remain local & go on... More

Six fantastic nights for a family of five in the rain forest @ Crocodylus. Weather was mixed but our hosts Sally and Steve made sure that we enjoyed every moment. Accommodation was clean and had wonderful hot, powerful showers with fresh towels delivered daily. This is not the four seasons but does living in the rain forest brilliantly - wildlife... More

We had planned to stay at Crocodylus Village, but a cyclone caused enough damage there that we could not stay. However, we were able to take a lovely side trip - the overnight kayak paddle trek to snapper island. We got a sense of our hosts, who helped us set up from the trip and clean up after - and... More

This is a great way to truly appreciate a taste of sleeping in the rainforest. The showers are not great but you have to adjust to a different style of accommodation. The host are nice and helpful, the common kitchen fairly efficient and the surrounding activities a lot of fun.

I was in Crocodylus Village eight years ago and it had the same atmosphere. It is cheap and the tents are large andcan accommodate 8 persons in one room. The toilet and bathroom are separate and made of wood. I stayed there this year with my daughter and son and enjoyed the hospitallity of thereception, bar and restaurant. At night we... More

We wanted our kids to experience the rainforest and Crocodylus was the perfect place. Hosts Steve and Sally were extremely welcoming and friendly, always greeting us by name. Everything was very easy and relaxed. We self catered breakfast, but opted for the Sunday BBQ dinner the first night and between the five of us, tried 5 different delicious meals from... More

I read their Web site and thought that sounds just like a place we would like to stay and It was exactly as I expected. Sleeping in the rainforest, friendly staff, no wi-fi and self catering was easy. Their dinner and breakfast menu was great value. $15 for a full plate. Recommend to independent traveller, you definitely need a car... More

This was the second time we stayed at Crocodylus Village. Both times we stayed two nights, as always our stay was fantastic. The staff are always helpful and welcoming. The Aussie BBQ on Sunday night was delicious with plenty of food and at a very reasonable price, plus a great atmosphere. The highlight of our trip would have to be... More

Cannot recommend this enough. Stayed here in April 2014 with a mixed group of 9. Loved the accommodation and communal areas, great welcome from the hosts. Great food on offer (thanks for the veggie options!!) and wonderful wildlife. Really unforgettable experience staying in the rainforest, especially for the kids. Thanks

We stayed one night at Crocodylus and absolutely loved it. The place is set literally in the rainforest which makes for a great experience. We stayed a Sunday night so for dinner there was an Aussie barbeque on offer which was all you can eat delicious BBQ food plus drinks. The staff were exceptionally great, really helpful and friendly, and... More
