Even though only a short drive off the Cape Trib road, the cabins here are set right into the rainforest in a secluded and peaceful setting. The individual cabins (which are positioned well away from each other) are well appointed with comfy beds and a flat screen if you wish to take in a DVD. All in all, it's a... More

After the stop - start traffic north of Cairns, the river ferry at Daintree marks the start of something special - a separation from the busy-busy world. The drive over the Alexandra Range was a trifle hilly and then down the hill and into the Daintree lowlands. The turnoff to DWL is clearly marked with a swathe of lawn, then... More

The set-up here is terrific - a tiny winding drive way leads to a main building in the middle of the forest, and a board-walk leads to a small number of secluded cabins on stilts. The cabins are small but very cosy and each has a section of transparent ceiling above the bed so your first view in the morning... More

Wow, what a find. We could not have wanted for more. Hubby and I were looking for a peaceful location, close to nature and we found it. We stayed for three nights, but could easily have stayed longer. The individual cabins are of a high quality and set apart from each other. We could only hear the nature outside, not... More

My wife and I recently had a weekend break to the Lodge pre the pending arrival of our little one. On arrival we were meet by the vibrant Bernie who provided us with a highly knowledgeable run down of the lodge and surrounding area. We dined in the restaurant on the first night and it was nothing short of fantastic.... More

We enjoyed three nights here in the heart of the old growth rainforest. This is no garden that you are immersed in - its the real thing. We loved our 'isolated' cabin 5 at the end of the walkway. We saw ' Fred' the local cassowary twice ( not guaranteed ) and the food that Ben and Bernie serve is... More

Absolutely a fantastic experience. Ben and Bernie were right on top of everything we needed. The food was spectacular. Plan on having dinner there! We stayed 3 nights and would most definitely come back again.

We absolutely loved staying in the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. It was unseasonably rainy in May and bucketed down all night for our stay, which was an amazing (while noisy) experience. Being in your own little hut over the swamp (it was so wet there was about a foot across the bottom of the rainforest where the lodge is) surrounded by... More

Thanks KateHendo for taking the time to give us your feedback. We certainly have had our fair share of rain this year but thats what makes our beautiful rainforest so lush and vibrant. Night time temperatures are still in the high teens and theres no better place to be this time of year than in Tropical North Queensland. We're so... More

We spent just one night here and it was lovely! We would have loved to have stayed more than one night but it is quite expensive. Each hut is set out into the rainforest away from the others so you feel like you are on your own, but the main reception is only a few minutes away. The rooms are... More

We stayed for 8 nights at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. A word to the wise, if you don't want to see spiders, lizards, or snakes, don't stay north of the Daintree River. Its a very natural environment and therefore likely difficult for some. The catwalks between lodges and main building were raised keeping you a few feet from the forest... More
