My husband and I stayed here in May for two nights - it's an excellent base to explore the surrounding area. It's a beautiful old country estate built in it's present form in the 1800's. It's not cheap but the rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly and courteous. The old hall is beautifully preserved with... More

We visited Mellington Hall Hotel for my Cousins Wedding. The venue is stunning from the moment you turn into the driveway. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning grounds and views. The whole day was exceptional from start to finish. The food was wonderful, beautifully cooked and presented and the portions were surprising large for a Wedding meal. The staff were... More

We stayed here for two nights following our wedding at Caerphilly Castle. After a hectic few months leading up to it - we just wanted to get away from it all and relax. We were certainly able to do so here - the setting is just absolutely stunning. We were welcomed very warmly on arrival and shown to our room,... More

What a beautiful venue for our daughters wedding. From the moment of arrival on Friday evening to our departure on Sunday morning we enjoyed a memorable stay. The weather was perfect, Mellington Hall was astounding inside and out. The bright and bubbly Kim and her staff could not do enough for us and were obviously totally committed to providing everyone... More

Today I had the unedifying experience of a prebooked afternoon tea at Mellington Hall. Upon arrival we were escorted to an empty dining room set-out for dinner apart from our table which was laid with two thick white white cups, saucers and tea-plates, teaspoons and side plates; no serviettes or pastry forks. The very off-hand waitress arrived soon after to... More

We upgraded to the Mellington suite which was quite amazing, a huge four poster and an even bigger jacuzzi bath. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here however on the day we stayed a lovely young woman called Beth was on her own manning reception, serving at the bar and waitressing food and while it wasn't busy it was too... Firstly I will say my the rooms are gorgeous and the hotel stunning. We had afternoon tea while at the hotel, as I love afternoon tea. The price of £12.50 pp is very reasonable but I felt more care could have been taken with the food. Cake looked like it had been cut into rectangles a while ago and then... More

I stayed at the hotel with my fiancé from the 18th-19th of April 2015 to view the location for our wedding. From the moment we drove up the mile long drive way we knew it was for us! We arrived at the hotel after travelling for 4 hours from Reading. Our room was ready early so we checked straight in... More
