Kijani hotel is a ideal family hotel. The spacious rooms and friendly staff made our stay more relaxing. The cold coconut water after a cool dip in the pool is heavenly. The sea view room is to loik forward to. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to go again-deepak krishna & family

We came back to Kijani house after spending Xmas there. This is a great place to stay, very calm and quiet, meals are very good and breakfast is best with wonderful crepes in addition to eggs and fruits. Rooms have terraces and balconies and you feel in your own house. The decoration is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and organise... More

We staid there for a couple of days, its very well located, the staff extremely friendly and the rooms spacious and clean. Only one thing bothered us, the cicadas would start making noise early morning and it was very hard to sleep... But this is nature, so not really a problem for the hotel! Thanks for a lovely weekend!

My wife and I were privileged to stay at Kijani earlier this month, sadly only for two days. The room we had (#1) was amazing, with a view of the harbor; the service was extraordinary, the staff were as sweet and helpful as they could be. The food was great. Everything was clean. The two swimming pools are perfect in... More

A recommended stay especially for those who need to escape to the seaside from the hustle and bustle of big cities but who don't want to surrender to yet more stress in an overcrowded impersonal beach resort. This is a genuine piece of the Kenyan coast unaffected by mass tourism. The Kijani staff and the locals make you feel at... More

Stayed for a couple of nights in January in room 1. A lovely room with a very comfortable bed. It was very windy so we couldn't enjoy the large balcony as much as we'd have liked. When we did, we loved the beach front location and being able to watch the fishermen and the cats which waited patiently for some... More

Kijani is simply the best place to stay in Lamu. It is relaxing and delightful and everyone there bends over backwards to make sure your stay is perfect. Moreover, the Swahili rooms are gorgeous and the garden is superb - be sure to keep an eye out for the giant tortoise!

We went to Shela for New Years, and despite having trouble finding a place to stay. Luckily for us we were able to snag a room at Kijani Hotel off of a late cancellation. We had a great time over the course of a couple of days. The staff were very nice and accomodating, and the fixer they had to... More

Great position, wonderful staff--nothing is a problem.Abdul will set the scene and pick you up at the airport and transport you across to Lamu and the Kijani. Now you know the staff experience will be great. He can also organise your Dhow --effortless. Ask for a waterfront room and enjoy the beautiful Swahili environment. Can thoroughly recommend it

Very nice little hotel, beautifully furnished in Swahili style with a wonderful, lush garden. Good location, not far from Shela beach and not too far from Lamu town, either. Nice and attentive staff. I've been there twice and will certainly go again.
