The George is a cosy little inn, built in 1732, has 2 comfortable extremely well equipped guest rooms in an annexe at the side of the inns car park. Beautifully kept & nice little touches to make your stay just right. We had a lovely dinner , good choice from sandwiches to grills etc. Specials on offer too, everything we... More

From the minute we arrived we were made welcome by Charles and Becci. Our room was lovely with many extra touches that really put this apart from other B & B's Becci's cooking was delicious and we ate at the pub both evenings (as well as enjoying the breakfasts) Charles was a lovely, attentive gentleman. Both were prefect hosts to... More

We have just spent a lovely weekend at the George and found this place to be outstanding in all respects. The friendly welcome by the Landlord and Landlady as well as all the locals had us feeling at home straight away. So much so that we took part in the late night dominoes championship. The food and accommodation were equally... More

We had such a great time for our wedding anniversary in September that we decided to go back for a two night stay over the New Year. This time we stayed in the other room (the one on the right), at Charles' suggestion because it is slightly bigger. It is and is just as beautifully presented. The usual complementary sherry,... A great New Year at The George Inn. Charles and Becci really looked after us. Superb room, excellent food and company. Fantastic location and even a mild climate for winter! You could not ask for more.

We have stayed at The George on several occasions and eaten here even more. It's a lovely cosy pub with great food much of it home cooked by Becci. Charles and Becci are perfect hosts and we love seeing their two dogs Darcey and Bridie come into the pub when everyone has finished eating. The rooms are spotless with lots... More

Dear Mr Cope, We very much regret that you did not enjoy your visit to The George Inn. As I said to you at the time it was not a good situation which has never happened before. You must agree that everything was cleaned up immediately and disinfected straight away. All our other guests did not seem to be so... More
