We stayed three nights at Nes Gard on a driving holiday through fjord Norway. We stayed in one of the apartments with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a wonderfully comfortable living/dining/kitchen. Perhaps our only regret is that there was so much to see in and around the guesthouse, we had very little time to relax in the apartment itself. Asbjorn... More

Nes Gard has to be the best place to stay in Norway if you're into seeing the fjords, climb glaciers and be one with nature!! The hosts were amazing they had so much knowledge on where to go hiking, they even gave us keys to one of their cabins up in the mountains which was the size of a small... More

We are a group of avid hikers (21) who stayed there for 4 nights. It was a wonderful experience. Our host is extremely knowledgable about local hikes and drove us in his van to the various places and led us on our hikes. He is enthusiastic and great to work with. On rainy days, he provided a "cultural experience" of... More

Wow where do we start...? Well we first arrived to Nes Gard on the most beautiful sunny and was greeted by such warm friendly hosts. We were lucky enough to upgrade to the honeymoon suite which was just gorgeous. We had our own balcony which we had a few lonely meals on. I can't stress how beautiful this place is... More

Nes Gard is an old farmhouse transformed into a charming inn. The owners have tastefully furnished it with furnitures from the late 1800s. I stayed in a newly renovated room a few steps away from the main building. Small, but had everything I needed during my six nights there. The heated bathroom floor was an added bonus when it was... We sadly only stayed one night at the Nes Gard, but if our trip would have allowed it, we would have loved to extend for a week! What a great little, adorable hotel run by the nicest and most helpful hosts. This bed and breakfast has all of the charm, class, and gourmet food that we were looking for on... More

From our arrival late in the evening to our departure, our host could not have been more hospitable, which included providing a delicious plate of food after the kitchen had officially closed. Beautiful clean room, breathtaking views, fabulous cuisine and a willingness to provide itinerary advice/information. I would highly recommend Nes Gard.

We stayed at nes gard for 6 nights, having booked 3 nights beforehand. Serene and wonderful atmosfere, especially If you have à room in the separate building looking towards the sheep. Very and I mean VERY knowledgable owner, who knows everything in the area. Local people organise events frequently in this B&b (a wedding during our stay), so If that... More

My friend and I are here for three nights as part of a tour of the Sognefjord and Lustrafjord. We were greeted upon arrival by Asbjorn and Mari who are delightful hosts with a couple of lovely young people assisting them. We have a set of rooms above the dining room, with a lovely sitting area and two gabled bedrooms... More

A tremendous stay i may 2013 before the blooming of the appletrees. An experience far beyond!!! The view, the hikes, the scenery of waterfalls, churches and mountainfarms have to be discovered and seen by many visitors. And the stay at the farm itself, beautiful.
