This hotel has received many rave reviews. Decidedly they are deserved. Lovely place, immaculately maintained. We were professionally and well received by a young lady (that is what she was) and thereafter we had an exhilarating stay. The waterfall, Feigum - 263m, across the fjord provided a low, murmling sound. Fascinating and not disturbing. Wonderful food and lovely hosts. We... More

Stayed June 2014.. Situated on a hillside overlooking Lustrafjorden with views of mountains & a most impressive waterfall across the Fjord. Attractive timber buildings. Our room with a lovely veranda was spacious, clean & comfortable with a small basic kitchenette. Bathroom rather small. We had half board which included dinner, good value for Norway..Breakfast & dinner at shared tables of... More

We spent two pleasant nights in this cozy B&B. We had the 2nd floor family room and it had plenty of space. The host was quite helpful for things to do in the area. This is an excellent base for a glacier trip as it is only about 45 minutes and the drive is beautiful. As with everything in Norway,... More

Highly recommended. Very friendly hosts, great food, and a view that can't be beat. This is a wonderful place to stop on a road trip to the fjords. The B&B has a deck right along the water, which is a great perk.

We were fortunate to spend two nights in this lovely place. We stayed in the small building, up the hill and overlooking the larger main building. This accommodation appears to have only one room they rent out and the staff/owners seem to use the other portion. It has the MOST amazing view we have ever seen and we felt we... More

Our family of four stayed 4 nights at Nes Gard and had a great experience. We were upgraded to a suite of rooms, including a living room which was perfect. The owners are super knowledgeable of the area and gave us daily advice on where to hike and how to get there. This part of Norway is beautiful with so... More

My wife and I have just returned from a two-week car tour of the Norwegian Fjords (and, no, we didn't drive in the fjords, but took ferries for that part!). Overall, Nes Gard was the best accommodation we stayed in. The setting and location of these former farm buildings overlooking the Sognefjord are first-rate, with the pure-white village church below... More

Nes Gard is a wonderful bed and breakfast. Right on the Luster Fjord, views to die for and the owner Ausbern is very charming. Breakfast and Dinner are very special. You are part of the family and you will learn a great deal about the wonderful Viking history that surrounds you. Don't miss this stop over........you won't be disapointed.

What a wonderfull place and location. We had a big room with a smal kitchen, a big terrace overlooking the sognefjord in front of the waterfall. Warm charming dinning room and sitting area's. A big garden with tables and chairs. A pontoon on the water with pick-nick tables and 2 lounge chairs (spectacular). Lovely tasty breakfast and diners. Very friendly... More

We stayed one night in Høyheimsvik but should have stayed many nights! Everything was first class. Rooms were nice, food was very good. The host were most welcoming, everybody working at Nes Gård was professional but the service was personal and perfect. We shall definitely return in the very near future.
