We have just stayed for 3 nights at Portavadie for a family wedding. The wedding party booked all of the accommodation except for the marina apartments, so we pretty much took over the place. We stayed in the studios, which I have to say were excellent, very spacious and modern and included a king size bed, leather sofa, en suite... More

Dear Gingiecat, Thanks so much for your kind review. We were, as always delighted to play our wee part in last weekends wedding. The team will be best pleased with such positive feedback as they really do go the extra mile, especially when we are lucky enough to be chosen as the venue for such a special occasion. Thanks again... More

Stayed in one of the fab self catering appartments and found it very comfortable and furnished to a good standard. Each appartment has it's own sauna which is lovely after a long damp walk. Restaurant food was very good and staff very welcoming. Wonderful architecture in the main building and appartments. Although set in the marina this is a good... More

We love this marina. The studios are dog-friendly with grass right outside the door and handy poop bins around the site with complimentary bags. Included continental breakfast is excellent and we felt no need to pay for the full Scottish available in the restaurant. The studios are very comfy and have kitchenettes should the desire to cook overtake you!

Absolutely LOVE this place. Would love it to stay a secret to really enjoy the tranquility and luxury it has to offer. We love apartment 10 with fabulous views and all the comforts you could ask for including a TV in the deep bath and sauna in the bathroom. Stumbled across it during the shell regatta in 2010 and thoroughly... More

We stayed at the Lodge and we had a package that included two nights accommodation, breakfast and one dinner. The price of he package was extremely competitive. The setting of the hotel is nice, right next to the Portavadie ferry although there are not many options for activities. The rooms are OK, average in size, with modern bathrooms. We were... More

We stayed in the Lodge for 2 nights on an Itison deal, having had Portavadie on our 'bucket list' for some time. All of our expectations were exceeded - comfort, amenity, location, service, quality of food, tranquility - and every member of staff we met was pleasant and friendly. I'd agree that the wifi availability is sketchy, but clearly the... More

My wife and I were very fortunate in winning a two night stay at Portavadie. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were so receptive and helpful. The luxury apartment was superb and so well furnished and fitted. We also booked a couple of treatments which were excellent. You must incorporate this into your stay.... More

Spent 3 nights in a luxury townhouse apartment and we can say that it exceeded our expectations. Accommodation was superb, extremely spacious, well planned out and comfortable with the most spectacular view of the marina. We recently spent a weekend here after reading the excellent reviews online. It is split into 2 buildings, one which is the Lodge and has the rooms, studios and Lodge Restaurant, then further round you come to the actual Marina with the Marina Restaurant and the luxury apartments. There is also a nice shop and spa here. Location: The location... More
