We stayed @Portavadie couple of weekends ago for a long weekend. Our Room (one of the Lodge rooms) was really spacious (superior room), with comfortable bed, nice bathroom, balcony etc. On our first night we had dinner at the Lodge restaurant. Food was tasty enough, nice atmosphere with the fire being on. On the second night we went to the... More

Stayed in one of the studio apartments as they are dog friendly. Very nicely appointed, fresh and modern. Big airy room, huge comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, large comfy leather sofa to relax on and watch the Tarbert ferry come and go, so relaxing! We were here for a birthday treat and ate in the Marina restaurant to celebrate, stunning... More

We stayed in one of the self contained cottages. It's situated in a beautiful location. The cottages look new and are nicely equipped. Only thing that would make it a better stay would have been to have the wifi working and some movie channels on tv. (However they have a selection of DVDs at reception to borrow for free, or... Lovely lunch after a fab time in the outdoor heated infinity pool and hot tubs. What a treasure to have on our doorstep. With friendly staff. Great place to take friends for a day of relaxation . would recommend!

2 nights in a studio apartment - very relaxing! Attractive accommodation: very clean, comfortable bed and leather sofa for lounging, and everything you need at hand - fridge for ice and drinks, cafetiere for good coffee at all times, and in fact a fully equipped kitchen if you want to self cater. Sit on your patio and watch the little... More

We booked to stay for two nights after the new year - the superior lodge room was great, with comfortable seating area however the leisure facilities were truly amazing. The new pool and sauna were great but the crowning glory was the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs. We also had a wonderful dinner in the Marina restaurant, with an... More

We had a great break - our seven year old daughter is still wearing the leisure centre bands! Overall: Room - very spacious with loads of light (well, the light available in Scotland in December!). The beds were comfortable and were perfect for the three of us with a king and a single. Only improvements would be more storage space... More

Just returned from a brilliant 3 night stay in the couples retreat lodge at Portavadie. The lodge itself is spacious but cosy with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. Views out over the water are fantastic to wake up to! Fully equipped kitchen and very good shower too. Tighnamara is in the next bay along from the marina. There... More

We stayed in a luxury apartment over Hogmany with family. Beautifully appointed with even a Christmas tree! Even in the wild winds of Hurricane Frank, we were cosy as could be. This was further improved by a visit to the spa for a wonderful massage and then the absolute belter of a treat- being in the outdoor heated infinity pool... More

Absolutely loved my stay at Portavadie. We stayed in one of the luxury apartments overlooking the Marina and could see the sun rise from the grand windows in the open plan living room. Apartments were spotless, new and very comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Food in the Marina Restaurant was superb (albeit very expensive - but there are... More
