Just back after a two night break and already thinking about planning a return trip in nicer weather. Was booked to stay in a cottage but due to typical Scottish weather they had a power cut so we ended up being put into a studio ( power was fine when we arrived but they suggested the studio in case it... A friend recommended Portavadie to us a few weeks ago. Glad he did. Interesting journey to get there - but once you arrive it is more than worth it. Beautiful and spacious accommodation - lodge room (Room 11) - very clean and modern. Staff were exceptional, especially in the Marina restaurant. Great food, very nice surrounds and Georgina presented my... More

We stayed at Portavadie over Christmas, and frankly I was reluctant to share this gem overlooking Loch Fyne. We stayed at the Lodge in one of the superior rooms - worth it for the lovely views from the floor to ceiling bay windows. From the outset the staff, many international ,were friendly and welcoming. Although they clearly worked long hours,... More

Went here for the weekend and cannot wait to return. We stayed in a Townhouse on the marina which is a classed as a luxury apartment but is in fact a lovely 2 storey townhouse with fabulous views. Downstairs are 2 double/twin bedrooms both ensuite, utility cupboard, sauna room and shower then upstairs to a fabulous open plan kitchen, dining &... More

We're frequent visitors to Portavadie, however this was our first time eating in the Lodge restaurant. The service was excellent: attentive but not over the top, and the food was really, really good. I had roasted pepper pasta and my hubby had a venison burger- both were delicious. We then headed over to the main marina to relax with a... More

We went along for a mid-week break. And I must let everyone know that if you are driving to Portavadie the views are spectacular. Checking in is straight forward Valantine was very helpful and happy and gave us all the information we required. The room we had was a good size, modern and clean with large Windows which lets in... I recently spent some time at the marina and it was fabulous! I can recommend the beauty spa which was a lovely treat. The whole experience was so relaxing with the beautiful surroundings, really helpful staff and fabulous accommodation at the lodge. I particularly loved the large, comfy sofas and fireplaces where I could get lost in my book. Can't... More

Had a two night stay in portavadie. Absolutely Fantastic. What a place! Can't really liken it to anything else. Unique really. Having walked around the complex we got a feel for the layout. Luxury apartments overlooking the marina. Berths for those sailing. Cottages / Self catering units. Bar/Restaurant overlooking the marina. Separate dinning area for those staying in the lodge.... We had the most fabulous 4 day stay in one of the luxury apartments overlooking the marina and we were made to feel so welcome by every member of staff we met. The apartment was stunning and so cosy, we arrived in heavy torrential rain and high winds in October but once we got inside the apartment you could barely... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, the lodge we were in (No 6) over looked the forest and Loch which was beautiful. The room was very specious. We had the continental breakfast both morning and also had dinner which were all fantastic. The hotel is quite remote but suited us fine. We also made the Drive to... More
