Hotel Latrabjarg is in Iceland near the magnificent Latrabjarg, Europe largest bird cliffs. Lovely hotel, good food, great people The cliffs are home to millions of birds, including puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills. It is vital for their survival as it hosts up to 40% of the world population for some species e.g. the Razorbill (Álka) It is Europe's... More

I didn't see the other rooms, but my single room was very disappointing. The window out the back wasn't clean and was peeling paint. There was a musty smell in this part of the building and in the room, the floor and floorboards were dirty and in need of repair, and the décor in the building looks like it hasn't... More

A one night stay on our travel around the West Fjords and what a stay. Had to find reception on our arrival. Turned out to be in the small building on the left of the hotel. Check in was quick. We were asked if we wanted dinner. A 3 course meal with Trout. As none of us eat trout the... More

I stayed at this hotel now recently during my tour guiding around Iceland. The food was very good and something i can reccommend. The view from this hotel is amazing in anyway and the people there were very accommodating. If you are looking for a place that's far away from tour buses, out in the wild Westfjords and in a... Hotel Latrabjarg is pretty much out in the sticks. It is in an old boarding school which the owners, Karl and Sirry, have been converting into a nice hotel. It is about 24 km over a dirt road to the cliffs at Latrabjarg. We made three trips over there at different times of the day for bird photography. Our room... More

I thought the diner was great even though there was a set menu, some people expect too much from such a small place far away from anywhere else, rooms were big and clean. For a one night stop off it was just what was needed.

Just returned from a wonderful dinner to a comfortable room with a great view. Watching the terns over the beach as the sun lowers and reflects off the cliffs. Our first criteria in judging a hotel is "does the management understand hospitality?" This is a family owned and operated hotel. Kurt, his wife an son get it. From arrival through... More

This hotel has nice, clean and large rooms. We had a great view over the fjord. However, the in hotel dinner was both the most expensive and the worst meal we've had in Iceland. Actually the worst meal we've had in Canada as well. This was definitely a case of tourist rip off. We like to support independent tourist operators,... More

We had had a rough day prior to arriving at the hotel Latrabjarg. After our visit to the Dynjandi waterfall, we got our second flat tire in two consecutive days, The second one happened approximately 10 miles from the waterfall on our way to Latrabjarg. One very important piece of advice - check the tires on your car before you... More

in some ways this is a difficult hotel to rate. Many reviews have said that the hotel is expensive, which it is. The hotel is family owned and run. It's in the middle of nowhere. It's just been refurbished. Our room was large with a good sized bathroom and very comfortable. This was our best nights sleep so far on... More
