This hotel has nice, clean and large rooms. We had a great view over the fjord. However, the in hotel dinner was both the most expensive and the worst meal we've had in Iceland. Actually the worst meal we've had in Canada as well. This was definitely a case of tourist rip off. We like to support independent tourist operators,... More

We had had a rough day prior to arriving at the hotel Latrabjarg. After our visit to the Dynjandi waterfall, we got our second flat tire in two consecutive days, The second one happened approximately 10 miles from the waterfall on our way to Latrabjarg. One very important piece of advice - check the tires on your car before you... More

in some ways this is a difficult hotel to rate. Many reviews have said that the hotel is expensive, which it is. The hotel is family owned and run. It's in the middle of nowhere. It's just been refurbished. Our room was large with a good sized bathroom and very comfortable. This was our best nights sleep so far on... More

You can't really end up here by accident, it is in the middle of nowhere. But has fantastic views of the fjord and nearby beach. The room was big, well decorated and modern, and really comfortable. Our only criticism would be the towels, which were like sandpaper. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was a three course set meal... More

This was a former boarding school opposite Patreksfjordur, quite isolated. It was a little gem. The reception was warm and welcoming and our room, a bit eclectic in terms of furniture, was comfortable. There is a lovely beach nearby for a good walk and although we didn’t venture to Latrabjarg Cliffs, it is a good place to explore from. The... More

This place is so over priced that even our Icelandic friends were embarassed. Do NOT stay there if you are going to the bird cliffs at Latrabjarg as the name of this hotel is quite misleading - they are 23km from the cliffs. There is a much better priced place with a range of accommodation from sleeping bags to fully... More

We stayed here just one night during our round-Iceland trip and it was a bit of a strange experience. First the plusses. This is a fantastic location overlooking a lovely beach which looked good even though we arrived in wind and rain. The owner is a very charming and affable man and cooks well (more in a moment). But on... More

Very nice family run hotel. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and the wifi reliable. The location is very rural but near to the amazing Latrabjarg cliffs. Spectacular scenary in the area. Dinner is on the pricey side. It is a three course meal each night (generally soup, entree, dessert) but it is very good. The price is understandable... More

Situated near a deserted beach within walking distance. Beautiful, remote area. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodation. The food is excellent. Breakfast and dinner is served. Given that the hotel is in an isolated area, good meals are an essential.

The hotel is located in a perfect setting. Sunny rooms and a most wonderful host, Good and inexpensive food, not a common combination inIceland. Thank you Karl Eggertsson for a perfect day. Ideal place to see the birds at Latrabjag.
