This place is so over priced that even our Icelandic friends were embarassed. Do NOT stay there if you are going to the bird cliffs at Latrabjarg as the name of this hotel is quite misleading - they are 23km from the cliffs. There is a much better priced place with a range of accommodation from sleeping bags to fully... More

We stayed here just one night during our round-Iceland trip and it was a bit of a strange experience. First the plusses. This is a fantastic location overlooking a lovely beach which looked good even though we arrived in wind and rain. The owner is a very charming and affable man and cooks well (more in a moment). But on... More

Very nice family run hotel. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and the wifi reliable. The location is very rural but near to the amazing Latrabjarg cliffs. Spectacular scenary in the area. Dinner is on the pricey side. It is a three course meal each night (generally soup, entree, dessert) but it is very good. The price is understandable... More

Situated near a deserted beach within walking distance. Beautiful, remote area. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodation. The food is excellent. Breakfast and dinner is served. Given that the hotel is in an isolated area, good meals are an essential.

The hotel is located in a perfect setting. Sunny rooms and a most wonderful host, Good and inexpensive food, not a common combination inIceland. Thank you Karl Eggertsson for a perfect day. Ideal place to see the birds at Latrabjag.

Quirky and charming family run hotel in a lovely location. We stayed three nights and the set evening meal was excellent every time. We managed to watch a world cup football match on the bar T.V. one channel available. This is the second nearest Hotel to Latrabjarg bird cliffs all fourteen kilometers of them! We did eat in the nearer... More

My experience at Hotel Latrabjarg consisted of a small room and an even smaller bathroom but I wasn't there to spend time in my room and the room was very clean with a newly redone bathroom. The hosts went out of their way to make a different main course for me when I said I didn't eat lamb and my... More

Stay if you can in the rooms at the end facing the fjord. The right hand one (as you face the flord) has the best views. The rooms have interesting furniture, slightly out of character, but good nonetheless. Whilst there, walk along the lovely beach. Friendly staff and plenty of them during dinner service Food is okay, but pricey. After... More

If you want to spend some time at the Cliffs (which are great), you'll want to stay nearby and this place is about 45 minutes from the cliffs. It's got a great view of a fjord and the folks who run it were very friendly. The rooms are basic, just a plain place to sleep. Dinner was actually decent, which... More

On landing from the Car Ferry at Brjanslaekur at 1900 hrs. I called the hotel to tell them I would be arriving around 2000 hrs. and would they kindly have dinner reserved for me. This was confirmed without hesitation, and with a caution not to rush on the gravel road which was rather rough in sections. On arrival I was... More
