Spent 3 nights with my wife in this beautiful place back in October this year. A must visit for people who love nature and calm rather than going to hotels in Saly and the rest of the " Petite Cote" area. Accommodation is amazing, good food and very welcoming and caring personnel including owner's and his wife. Specially to look... More

I've traveled to most corners of Senegal over the past decade, staying in every sort of lodging, and Souimanga ranks as one of my top places to stay. Tasteful, in harmony with nature, good amenities, and very relaxing. The owners are great -- we had discovered at the end of our stay that we had left our cash at the... More

My wife and I travelled extensively through Senegal and without doubt this was the most relaxing place we stayed at. The 'cabins' were wonderfully fitted and spotlessly clean, on our arrival or bed was bedecked with flowers and there were vases of fresh flowers in the bathroom, while there was fresh fruit and a meal awaiting our late arrival. Nothing... More

We have just spent 5 nights here for pure relaxation at the end of our trip. It was an excellent choice. We stayed in a standard garden room which was spacious as was the bathroom. There is plenty of hot water too. We did not have any problems with mosquitoes at this time of year. There is no hairdryer in... More

Souimanga was the middle of 3 places we stayed whilst in Senegal, so as I write this from the beach of Tama Lodge I feel that I can now give a fair comparison. Paradise is a word over-used in reviews, but birds flock to the delta here for good reason, and as you watch them land on the sand bank... More

Part of me does not want to review this as for the last two years it has been our secret gem. Located on the edge of a tranquil lagoon this stylish lodge is around 3 hours from manic Dakar. With just a handfull of villas, named after the resident birds, it is well suited to friends or couples looking for... More

Although no English id spoken here, or at least very little, between my schoolgirl French and the manageress' bit of English we were able to make ourselves understood. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds lovely and the food excellent. There was a nice pool around which we could relax and the dining area was beautiful with bougainvillea trailing above us... More

We arrived here and could immediately enjoy our dinner. The dinner always had four courses but you could choose less if you wanted. The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also lovely, just as lunch. Our sincere compliments to the chef. This is a great hotel to relax. Our lodge was beautiful and there... More

Only good things to say about this place. The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is brought to your little bungalow. The dinners are delicious. Fine dining every evening. Very relaxing and very romantic. The service is excellent. It's expensive, but worth it. Very highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to rest, relax and escape from the rat-race, and Souimanga was perfect in every way. We arrived late at night, after a very bumpy journey from Dakar, to a friendly welcome and a delicious cold supper and wine awaiting us in our room Such a stunning location, with an almost dream-like landscape that changed...
