The hotel is well situated being just across the road from the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I was there on business but I got the feeling its not for holiday makers.Like all hotels in the area its expensive but not as expensive as the hotels closer to Rio More

We stayed only 1 day and as every hotel in High season in Rio it was very expensive (290USD per night). They charge you 10% for "Hotel service" which I don´t understand why. Internet is available in the room but for an outrageous cost (26 USD per day). For the room rate paid I don´t see why they have to... More

Have stayed at the hotel twice, and it was consistently good. This hotel would be at home in any major city in the US, and you would not know the difference. It does not have a "Rio feel", but it is a very fine business hotel. Lunch is the hotel restaurant is pricy, but as good as you will find... More

I stayed there for 4 days during a summit, the hotel was booked by the organization, so I can't speak for the reservation. The lobby is nice, but impersonal. Rooms are old fashioned, not in a good way. The breakfast is like going to a lousy eatery. More

Rio experiences an accomodation shortage. Despite the fact that many companies moved to this area, this hotel is 1 out of only 2 options (at the same level) in the large area of Barra. The other is the nearby Sheraton. Consequently, it is an expensive one. Rooms are clean and functional. 24h room service is fast and affordable. There is... More

this is rated no 1 out of 2 hotels in Barra, an out of the way suburb of Rio.Its a sleepy place, with a huge shopping center nearby. This is a large property, obviously catering to tour groups (who will find it a slog to get to Rio proper) and conventioneers. Its modelled on Intourist hotels from the Soviet era with a... My wife and I stayed at the Windsor Barra to be close to the location of Rock in Rio 2011. We have visited Barra before, but this was our first time to stay in a hotel here. The hotel is in a great location in Barra, located right across Avenida Lucio Costa from the beach. We didn't get to experience... More

Very nice and spacious rooms. Excelent service. Breakfast with many fruits, chees and cakes. Don´t choose this hotel if you want to stay close to the main touristic attraction for example sugar loaf, Christ the Redeemer, downtown, shops and restaurants. More

Thanks AF for having trouble flyin gback to Europe (due to snow on CDG) and making our holiday one day longer for free. We were taxied for a good 45 minutes to Barra da Tijuca. We were expecting to end up in a cheap room in a hidden corner of Rio - well, we could not be more wrong. After... More
