Lovely and spacious chalet with large veranda. Nice quiet setting. Furnishings in the chalet were of high standard, although the bathroom was more typical for Thailand as compared to western bathrooms. Good and cost effective laundry service. Good WiFi connections at restaurant considering its rural location. Very pleasant place to stay and convenient for visiting Kaeng Krachan National Park.

We have stayed at Baan Maka twice and love the tranquil setting. Our chalet was simply but adequately furnished. Linen and towels which were changed daily were spotless. The restaurant served freshly cooked food and there was always hot water for making drinks. By the lake there are places to sit to enjoy quiet time. Baan Maka arranged a birding... More

Serious birders and tourists visiting Kaeng Krachan National Park would be wise to consider Baan Maka as a comfortable base. The handsome stucco chalet-type cabins (single and duplex units) built several steps off the ground, have good-sized balconies with attractive outdoor furniture, a good sized bedroom and a large bathroom with hot water shower. Indoor furnishings, made of natural and... More

A great base for visiting the national park, lovely rooms and probably the best restaurant I've ever experienced in a guest house, the food was wonderful! Lovely garden too, very peaceful. There is no reception though, so let them know when you're arriving. Also if you want to visit the park, the chalet can help you but it's worth asking... More

Really quiet, really friendly, vast and comfortable bed, lovely gardens. Food entirely decent, apart from the cold fried eggs - ask and insist that they are cooked fresh for you! Wifi service also very good (in restaurant only) and free loan of multiple plug adapters. Recommended.

Great place to be based for birding. Lots of birds around the lodge, which is very comfortable. Also easy to get to Kaeng Krachan NP, which has excellent birds and butterflies. They have a small blind (hide) on the property and you can also go to one nearby. Both offer close views of birds, and sometimes animals, that come in... More

A series of small bungalows set in a mix of habitat - including a lake (canoes available). The owners are themselves birders and there are a couple of bird hides on the property and nearby. The property is also visited by many birds including hornbills, Pitta and owls. Baan Maka (also spelt Ban Maka at times) is near the entrance... More
