We stayed here overnight on our River Kwai and He'll Fire Pass two day tour and arrived via long tail boat to the amazing floating pier. Looks exactly like the pics on the internet! Our room was bungalow in the jungly garden surrounds, yes a little dated with very low lighting, with "bespoke" bathroom and shower and an air con... More

The major problem is hotel website does not show any detail of going to hotel, traveling by boat, how long of the activity. Guess has to call asking to call center which provide parallelize with true story. I won't recommend any one to go to this hotel again. My recommend is more than this, I can report it for 1-page... Always when I come here time is too short because so many things to do, to see. It's one of the beautiful place in Thailand, the nature is so beautiful and the place is really well managed, specially the surroundings.

We came here for two nights in May 2015 in need of a place to recharge the batteries. It was beautiful, quiet (off season I guess) and filled with natural attractions in the extensive gardens. The mosquitoes aside, I would rate this as close to perfection as conceivable for a relaxing break. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, the former served... More

I've been here in December only for one night during the River Kwai tour. Location is beautiful and very suggestive on the river, massages very relaxing, food thai and also European with a great choice. Rooms are nice, I found in the bathroom a bug...but considering that you are completely surrounded by green, plants, jungle...I think it is more than... More

Arrived direct from Bangkok airport ,roughly 3 to 4 hour car trip,7:30pm opened car door and that lovely hot steamy air hits you ,nice after being in aircon plane for 6 hours then the cool drive. Walk down to Resotel pier where our long boat arrives to take us of up the river to our jungle home for 3 nights.... More

River Kwai Resotel is a great place to chill out and use as a base for your Kanchanaburi vacation. Some aspects of the resort are a bit aged, but that just adds to the charm. A convenient 10 minute walk to the Lava Caves. I love the daily 10 minute long-tail boat ride to/from the car park! and it's included... More

We only stayed here one night which was unfortunate because the setting was spectacular. We were a bit dubious about even staying one night due to some of the negative reviews posted on Trip Advisor, but are glad we came with an open mind. The long tail boat ride to and from the hotel was a great surprise, our 4... More

We really were not expecting much from this resort as it was just a one night stop over. It was set right in the mountains & jungle. It was tranquil & spectacularly situated right on the River Kwai. The longtail boat ride to get there was fantastic & all part of the experience. The staff were very pleasant, most did... More

The place is quiet and isolated. It is good to leave the city behind and be in the the mountain and forest. Internet and mobile can rarely be used. the place is big but the nice seating and enjoying are fully occupied. Breakfast is so so. Food and service is so so.
