Nice place, relaxing and charming. We went there for a tour with a great local guide from Burma. There is a swimming pool, a pool bar and they organise a mon dancing show with the local villagers. Huge buffet!

Nice place. Lovely room although smelt a bit fausty. I expect its fabulous in the sunny season. For the evening meal there was a buffet. It was one of the best meals that we had during our trip. If I hadn't been concerned about the following days travel I would have gone back for more and more. Delicious!!

A great and unique experience from the longboat ride up the River Kwai, the great, fresh and plentiful food, the half hour massage, the walk through a Mon Village and the Mon dancing show....Thai and Burmese culture wonderfully shown. Accommodation was in thatched circular huts....had everything we needed including good air conditioning. Beautiful positioned by the river with cliffs opposite... More

The night of my 60th birthday was made very memorable by 3 Thai staff arriving at our room bearing a fruit platter decorated with candles and orchids. Not only that they sang Happy Birthday with an old fashioned gramophone speaker (His master's voice style) which made it all the more memorable. The next day they moved our gear to an... More

Over all are nice but room is too old Highlight is location , really beautiful . Breakfast is great for me . Near a place for travel. But a thing is little expensive more than outside . We stayed for 4 nights. The location within the jungle by the river is dramatic, and the continuing developments around the gardens make this a fascinating place to stay. On top of that, the staff are consistently friendly and attentive.

The hotel was fine. Rooms were a bit worn but clean. The shower water was kind of a trickling stream. I actually appreciate the fact that the rooms were located in cottages on the hotel grounds, not on the river, because I felt that was better for the environment (but was it really? I am not sure.) The food was... More

We have been here twice. We live in Bangkok but are actually nature lovers. Yes, we have our own vehicle which makes it easy, but for us it's an escape. Within walking distance is a cave. The stalactites are well lit and the steps up to the cave make it an easy climb, although quite steep. Nearby are elephant rides... More

The first thing that should be noted is that while this place is set in a beautifully location it is very remote so those traveling without guides and drivers (like we were) may want to consider an alternative. It is a good hour and half taxi journey from Kanchuburi (80km). This journey will set you back around 1000 baht and... More

We just returned from a two day trip at the River Kwai Resote, l While planning our two week trip to Thailand, we found out about this place by accident. We decided to check it out because it looked so beautiful. The hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport in Bangkok. It was about a... More
