Food was amazing at the restaurant. The grounds where beautiful, room was clean just a little old and rundown. You get Wi-Fi but not strong unless your in reception or restaurant. Staff helpful if you want to go to one attractions nearby and this hotel really is in the perfect position to go to death railway, Bridge over the river... More

We stayed here as part of a package tour to Hellfire Pass for Anzac Day in April 2015. Having stayed at various hotels of various star ratings in Thailand over the last six years, we class this place as the worst of the worst. The rooms are dirty, there was no soap, no coffee making facilities, the bed linen looked... More

This resort could be great, and maybe was once. But those days are long gone. It's in a great location, on the banks of the River Kwai and just ten minutes from Hellfire Pass, which is why we stayed here. However, the whole place is extremely rundown and badly in need of some TLC. We stayed in one of the... More

Sprawling establishment that appears to be expanding even further. Two large pools. Good for couples and families. It has seen better days but i suppose things go bad quickly in the jungle humidity. The large bed was two singles pushed together and made for a sub-optimal sleep. The only major gripe was the attitude of the staff. Grumpy, disinterested and... More

Our one night stay here was with a Alexander-Roberts (GeneralTour) group. Shame shame on you Alexander-Roberts this place was “Very Very DIRTY”. We stayed in one of the floating “Raft Rooms” a neat idea, BUT it was worn and very very dirty. The bedding was stained and full of holes. MOLD all over the shower. The food was awful and... More

After a quiet week at another resort I wanted a bit more to see and do. River Kwai Village is the place - right in the centre of activities and sight seeing in Kanchanaburi province. Had a room on the rafts which was beautiful. The rising and falling of the river (with dam activity about 80 km upstream) means that... More

Not good. Meaby because we were the only guests. Summary of complaints: refrigarator loudness and work badly, airo noisy, toilet water keep flowing, shower terrable, shower curtain to short, no power points, Overall not good. The only good thing is the place of the venue. At the river.

This hotel is determined to exploit its customers, is 80km away from the main town and has the following horrid features: Disinterested staff lacking basic knowledge of the region. No transport links and transport services offered by the hotel were four times the local price. Tourist activities advertised were not available. No currency exchange, nearest at 8km away, no offer... More

This is a somewhat isolated resort right on the river Kwai which is fast flowing at this point. You are well into the jungle here. The rooms are reasonably sized. Shower did not want to give me the hot water as I might have liked but a cool shower is not so bad when the ambient temperature is 35c. The... More

Reasonable hotel facilities albeit a little dated where we were in the main block. Great to sit on the balcony over the Kwai river clasping a cold beer as the light faded and the cicadas started doing there thing. Entertainment in the restaurant was courtesy of the Mon tribe who we had visited that afternoon in their hill village nearby.... More
