We drove into Mae Salong and decided to stay here, we were able to view the room first which was just stunning and so cheap! The room was spotless and so big oas well, shower had the best pressure we've seen in Thailand! The hotel is all made of concrete and the furniture is all wooden so it has a... More

Am a bit confused as to pricing as Agoda says $167 a night ... this is the Agoda window on Trip Advisor. We paid 600 Baht a night in the new section which is effectively a large concrete guest house overlooking the original cottages. This new section had just been completed and with a coat of paint would come up... More

I live in Chiang Mai and have stayed at this guesthouse three times. Remember, hotels in Thailand are like a box of chocolates -- you never know what you're going to get. So I like this one because you can walk two blocks to the morning market for tribal people at 6:30am, explore the town in either direction, and also... More

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice view, great value for money, helpful info about local trekking and bus connections. Rooms serviced each day, hot shower, big bed, real mattress. Breakfast available and terrace bar area for drinks after a long day walking.

In the heart of Mae Slong Village, handy to most sites via foot, small rooms, hot water was really only luke warm which made it a quick shower but beds were comfortable. Owners very friendly and rates were reasonable.

This is a very popular place though mostly for one night. The rooms are fine but a bit spartan with the bedroom area better than the bathroom. The concrete design and the metal mugs do give the feel of shades of Ronnie Barker and Porridge! However, it is a perfectly good one night stop with the owners friendly enough. It... More

Nothing could dampen my overall excitement about Mae Salong itself. The views are spectacular. The history is fascinating. The people were delightful. Make sure to climb the 719 steps to the top view over the city. Taste some tea. And at night walk to a dark area to see all the stars. The guesthouse was charming, but my first concern... More

We saw the terrace and the new looking bungalows and asked for a room for the next day.We choose the one with the doublebed. The lady was very friendly and welcoming and told us we could come in the morning but that the room had to be cleaned first. To my opinion it was very clean already. And indeed when... More

Unfortunately, the other popular guesthouse in town was booked full, so I looked to Ban See See, and boy was I glad I did. Not only did this place have much better views of the mountains, but the owner and his family were such friendly and genuine people. It definitely helped that I spoke some Mandarin since most residents in... More
