We stayed here for 4 nights before heading to Koh Samui. Originally had three nights booked but immediately extended our stay an extra night after seeing the place. The location is on a hillside just outside the small town of Thaton, which is in easy walking distance for shopping and dining. The bungalow was very clean, well decorated, and had... More

This is a good value hotel. Stayed in one of the smaller bungalows which was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel which was enjoyable. Staff/owners were friendly and attentive. For the price I can certainly recommend this accomodation.

We stayed here for one night in the double bungalow, with our 3 kids. This is more of a couples romantic hotel than a family spot, so we urged our children to be on their best behavior. The swimming pool is lovely but tiny, and there is no A/C in the bungalows. That said, the fans work well, and the... More

Usually every year we have friends visit and this resort gives us the idea location to travel too..rooms as usual fine ..indeed we stayed in the large bungalow which was a treat. We feel like part of the family, indeed Paulo is French as are many of their guests... Increasingly English speaking tourists come and are made most welcome..allow Paulo... More

This lovely landscaped property has only a handful of bungalows all set in glorious gardens with the most lovely flowering scrubs, trees and plants. Besides the small swimming pool there is also a pond surrounded by lush foliage and with a small cascade of water so it sounds peaceful and lovely especially from the large deck of the bungalow that... After you cross the bridge going out of Tha Ton, watch for a sign on your left that says "Old Tree's House." Turn left and go up the gravel road. Park and walk into the gardens. In the cool shade, you'll see exotic plants with lush colorful blossoms, backed by a thousand shades of green. You'll hear the gurgling of... More

I have knew this place when my 2-days short excursion arranged from Chiang mai to Chiang rai and stayed pleasantly over here. This is a small place with four bungalows only but cozy. We were glad arranged by Eric, our guide and driver during the excursion and thank you for the owner of this place, Paulo and all nice staff.... More

A lovely place to stay after a long drive out of the mountains; the grounds are immaculate as was the poolside bungalow that we had. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot which made a change from some of the other experiences we had staying around Thailand. The stocked minibar was free with a few beers and sodas,... It is a lovely place, with just a few pleasant bungalows and a nice pool. The big bungalow we stayed in offered a spectacular view. However our stay was not a pleasant one: no one knew about our reservation when we arrived. We were offered another bungalow at a higher rate for only 1 night, although we had booked for... More

We usually tend towards budget places but after a long bus journey we deserved a treat and splashed out. Old Tree is a lovely place to recharge the batteries: great view, 2 pools and huge, luxurious bungalows. The free minibar had beers, water and fizzy drinks. Paolo, an old chain-smoking french guy, is a real character who will chat away... More
