Warm welcome; beautiful room; immaculately clean; comfortable bed;and superb breakfast with plenty of choice(much of it fresh and local). Then over the sand dunes to a gorgeous beach. Paradise! Highly recommended.

Not the cheapest bed and breakfast in the area but surely the best. The room was light and airy and had clearly been recently refurbished. Their were lovely touches like books relating to the Bell Rock lighthouse (pictured on the wall of the room) and for those too tired to flick through this information, there is the usual obligatory digital... Stunning location, nicely decorated/furnished etc rooms, tasty breakfast and kind hosts. My Dad and I stayed here one night on a cycle trip from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. A secure shed was provided for our bikes and there was an offer of a lift up the hill to the pub where we could get dinner (which was very tasty, also recommended),... More

The position really is unbeatable - at the foot of the cliffs with the occasional peregrine falcon overhead and right in front of the sand dunes. My partner & I stayed here on Saturday night and recommend that you stay here too! It's a lovely old converted salmon fishing station that's been sympathetically modernised. The rooms are spotlessly clean and... More

I stayed at the Old Fishing station for two nights A lovely room, fantastic shower, and just the best location to stay . Just across from the nature reserve and the beach, so peacefull and relaxing after a stressed day at work.

Stopped here recently & couldn't believe how wonderful it was-everything was perfect. So clean, fresh & wonderful location, to say nothing of the great food & hosts. I was very impressed by the whole set up & will definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you for a great stay.

Fully concur with previous review. We were cycling from Perth to Aberdeen on route to the Shetland Isles. The B&B is right on route 1 in a beautiful location. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Four of us were cycling from Aberdeen to Edinburgh and had booked this B&B as our first stop. The location is fantastic, with lovely views and peaceful surroundings. For cyclists following the number 1 route, the B&B location is perfect as it is on the route. The B&B owner, Simon, was friendly and professional and went out of his way... More

It's clear at this B&B that they've thought of everything a guest could need! The facilities are lovely and very comfortable, the food is excellent, and the price is reasonable. Being able to take a morning stroll on the beach out front is gravy on top. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone!

The location is a quiet, beachside area near the St Cyrus Nature reserve, ideal for local wildlife, seascape-horizon, cliffs and walking trails. Nearby Montrose, with its own basin, with extensive bird life and observation posts, is very well equipped for shopping for all provisions, etc. you'll need to self cater. Also, there are good tearooms and restaurants within easy reach.... More
