Have just returned from this hotel with my husband, went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the reviews I read before I went were spot on. On arrival we were seen to straight away and shown to our room (our case carried for us) The room was lovely very roomy huge bed lovely bathroom with lovely fluffy towels and a... More

I arrived at Shibden Mill for a 3 night business stay, upon arrival you fortunately do not feel like you're still in Halifax but instead, a cute little village surrounding this lovely hotel property. On entering, I was greeted by a very friendly lady whom checked me in and showed me to my room. Despite its high AA rating, this... More

I stayed here with a friend for the weekend and my friend booked a superior room which we thought was a twin room. We checked in at around 4pm and was shown to room 12 we were a little surprised that it had a double bed and asked reception if this was a mistake and was advised that we had... More

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in a standard room. We were impressed following check-in we were taken to our room which was light, airy and clean. The radio was playing classical music on entrance and instantly relaxing. The room was beautifully decorated. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows to choose from and an array of duvet, sheets,... Well worth a stay at Shibden Mill Inn. The recently refurbished rooms are bright, light and airy, all the little extra touches make it feel very chic. ALL the staff make and ensure you are made to feel very welcome. It just gets better and better every time we stay :)

I wanted to stay somewhere for my birthday that was out of town, surrounded by lovely countryside yet wasn't a huge drive to get there. I found Shibden Mill Inn, had a good look at their website and thought "This is the place for me!" We booked over the phone and, on arrival, were taken to our room while being... More

This an excellent inn. It is ideally situated if you want to see people or places in Halifax, Leeds or Bradford. It is however rather isolated so it is worthwhile booking dinner, bed and breakfast. Although the service was good and the cooking OK there is an issue with the restaurant. We stayed three nights and the menu did not... More

stayed on 12/7/14 with my wife, just for a treat.after a quick, friendly check in we were shown to our room (6).the room was clean, comfortable and adequate, though the windows were small and high level leaving the room a touch stuffy.down in the beer garden we drank some excellent 'withens ale' at a reasonable £3.30 a pint, followed by bar snacks, again reasonable and tasty.... I've stayed here before on business, and also eaten here when I subsequently moved to the area. Having not been for a few years I'd forgotten just how good it was. The location is superb, close to Halifax, Bradford, the Yorkshire Moors, but in a quiet valley where you'd think that you're on a desert island so idyllic is it.... More

My husband and I live local to this hotel and decided to take advantage of it's proximity to home and town and stay for the night. We met with friends and ate in the restaurant. The quality of the food was excellent overall. The wine list was extensive, full of quality wines :0) The room we had was room 12.... More
