Stayed one night in room 4 on the first floor. This is a converted Chapel which has been tastefully done and at some considerable cost. The room was spacious and well equipped, you could use their private area as a lounge and the breakfast was excellent silver service. The owners were very helpful and made you feel wanted. There is... More

We visited Soar Chapel Guest House for a one night stay in July 2014. The place is wonderful, and we would definitely visit again. The guest house is an old chapel which has been tastefully converted to a very high standard. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor and again everything was to a high standard, one... More

We stayed here last weekend to see the cycling in nearby Abergavenny. It was such a lovely place that I'm sure we'll be back. The welcome was warm & friendly, the guest lounge was brilliant and architecturally beautiful. The family room (#4) was a good size, clean with some nice touches. It was a red hot night so they brought... More

We have recently stayed at Soar Chapel, in the family room with two kids. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, comfy beds, and a large en-suite, with attention to detail we are not accustomed to see. But forget the lovely house, the family, and especially Leslie, welcomed us with great warmth, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Leslie... More

We stayed at the Soar Chapel recently in one of the 2 bedroom apartments with our 2 Newfoundland Dogs. From our arrival (hot Welsh Cakes) to our departure we were very well treated by Lesley & her freindly staff & family. The apartment was ideal with everything you need & having wooden/tile floors it was easy to clean as our... More

My wife was returning from a few days away to Abergavenny train station. In close proximity (approx. 7 miles) it seemed a good opportunity to stay at Soar Chapel Guest House (especially as my wife lived in Beaufort as a girl and had attended the chapel as well). We were not disappointed by our choice. She had travelled in a... More

I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend recently. We were in the annex, coz I took my little dog with me. WHAT A SUPER PLACE ! It was like a holiday cottage. Heaps of room. The breakfast was excellent, the owners friendly & helpful. REALLY PLEASED, & HAVE BOOKED ANOTHER 2 NIGHTS SOON. Lovely little Antique type shop... More

We were given good advice on local attractions and restaurants. Plenty of choice for breakfast, with gorgeous freshly baked banana bread. Received home made Welsh cakes on arrival. Spotless and comfortable. Thank you for a lovely break. Martin and Julie Hurlow

We booked Soar Chapel for a family gathering, and it turned out to be ideal, especially because of the lovely big lounge, where we could relax. Everyone was very helpful, and the cooked breakfast was very tidy (photo by Millie, aged 13, who was impressed!). The standard breakfast was plentiful and healthy, plus you could have pretty much whatever you... More

Had an overnight stayfor a friends 60th. Chloe & family made us very welcome on our arrival. The room we had was a really good size, light & airy with a lovely view over Beaufort to the Mountains. Soar Chapel has been converted beautifully and the family owners work extremely hard to offer a really good service. Had a look... More
