We happened to see the Hacienda de Santa María Regla from the park at the Basaltic Prism. Then decided to explore it and what we found simply blew our minds out. The Hacienda has kept the ambiance of days gone and still has many fabulous corners to explore. The back area, with all the mining working areas, will make you... More

The Hacienda is a dream come true. The environment is a lot more for couples than for families. Private, quiet and there is a night tour to look around with torches, we do recommend! Approx. cost MXP$100 p/p. The food is not great, nor the hotel premises; though the personnel is very friendly. Beware no hot water nor wifi nor... More

Never got a response on line so I made the reservation by phone indicating SPECIFICALLY we wanted a cabin with a fireplace based on past stays. Victor Hernandez in Mexico City assured me we were all set. Upon arrival we are told there are no cabins and that we had a regular room assignment. Lady on duty offered a suite... More

First off, we didn't stay at this location in their rooms, so this review has nothing to offer in regard. We went as part of a large tour group on a Saturday, were taken around and shown the grounds, and had a buffet lunch. The surrounding location is beautiful, as are the grounds. But. I had several moments of "this... More

We went during the Mother's Day weekend and at the time we got a good deal in price, we were surprise with the warm service they provide with the great food they cook. Also, the building itself is a piece of art and history, so much to explore and learn. This is one of those hidden marvelous in Mexico that... More

The site is an old Hacienda next door to the Basaltic prisms. Far from town (Huesca). Room was freezing. Bed are confortable in a large room. No amenities (phone, internet, TV), very plain, very rustic. Bathroom is literally built into the room with no ventilation!! It stinks!!! The smell is bad enough just from the humidity of the shower. Restaurant... More

You get a clean room. The beds are comfortable and warm. That is it! Freezing cold rooms, no hot water., no phone, no TV and no internet. And worst of all: a terrible, fetid smell from the bathroom that made the sleeping area unbearable. We tried to cancel after the first night , but they refused to refund the rest... More

Visited this beautiful place with family. 8 adults, 1 teen and 4 kids between 2 and 9 yrs old. No matter what your travel agency says there is: -No telephones -No internet/wifi -No pool The Hacienda was built about 300+yrs ago. There are no heaters, a/c which I liked as it keeps it original and rustic. Service was definitely slow... More

Management seems to have paid most attention to their dining clientel (lovely dining room, great breakfast), but not to the over-night guest. For 110 USD -- on a Sunday night -- you get a rather plain, stark room with a rickety door/lock, and some very transparent curtains. And that's it; there are no on-site services offered, e.g. no common room... More

Located in the Magical Town of Huasca de Ocampo, the Hacienda Santa María Regla is a great historical place to visit during the day or night. It is one of the biggest Haciendas built in México and its owner and benefactor was the Count Pedro Romero de Terreros, who was an important business man that helped to shape the history... More
