After you have climbed the hill with your big backpack for five to ten minutes (bring flashlight when arriving at night), you maybe searching for your breath (it is steep!) you turn around and will be amazed by the breathtaking view! (And staff will offer you a glass of cold water immediately! Which is very thoughtful and makes you feel... More

There are many things to love about Casa Loma; the breathtaking views, the awesome dogs that you can take for walks, the relaxed vibes of lying in hammocks or playing cards, and my favourite, the incredible food. There really is little reason to leave the hostel, especially with the treacherous stairs to the entrance, and if it weren't for some... More

This hostel has a warm welcome. You need to walk a steep hill but they are waiting for you with a glass of water. They are very helpful and can help you with planning what to do during the day. The hammocks are simple with a mosquitonet, but some are with holes so you have to check yours. It is... More

We spent a really nice night at Casa Loma. Our room was the Tree House, which was comfortable and it felt like you were in the trees when lying in bed looking out the windows. It is decent walk up to the house, but definitely well worth it, the view and the people are great. One of the best things... More

Casa Loma is a really wonderful Place to stay. I could not recommend it enough! Unfortunately we only had 1 night in Minca, and we were really sad we could not stay longer as it was a lovely spot and there are many things to do in Minca. Casa Lola is literally a huge tree house built high up above... More

We loved Casa Loma! Yes, you have to walk up the hill, and no, there's no WiFi, but that's all part of the charm. There's nothing to do at night but chill out, watch the sunset and drink a beer. You can join in on the family style dinners and they also make breakfast - nothing amazing but nice creative... More

I'm sorry, but i just can't go along with all the cheering reports. there are some good, but also enough bad points... + the views! really breathtaking sometimes and even with not perfect weather quite impressive. + the vibes: you are very likely to have some nice conversation with interesting people here. + the volunteers and elena: all the people... Had an awesome stay in casa loma: fantastic vegetarian cuisine, easy going hosts, and lovely views. It is located up a pretty serious hill so be prepared for that but there are steps the whole way and plenty of signs to keep you on track. We stayed in the room above the main common area which can be slightly loud... More

Everything about this Casa Loma was wonderful! The sign on the way up to Casa Loma ("You Are Entering a WIFI-Free Zone, Disconnect Yourself") sets the tone for the experience of CL - relaxed (but not in a "we don't care" way, in a "welcome to our humble treetop abode and enjoy" way). I would definitely stay here again... the... More

Incredible location and amazing staff. We had an amazing two nights here and would love to come back! I would highly recommend this hostel, particularly the mirador room. We went on walks to the waterfalls which was lovely. Breakfast and dinner were also a highlight in this hostel!
