Travancore Heritage is a well maintained reort;the massages are good value and the staff helpful. The grounds are well maintained with 2 decent swimming pools and beach access. Breakfasts are good - I ate elsewhere for other meals. The cheaper rooms can have very small verandas

This is a very laid back relaxing spot with lovely greenary and great views to beach which is a short walk away. Only problem is the calling to church on the beach which starts around 5 with bells ringing and loud microphone calling out. We should have been told about this! Beach is lovely and local fisherman fish there but... More

Couldn't comment on what the stay would have been like as we didn't make it past reception! Having arrived at dusk after a 5hr journey traveling down Kerala as part of a longer tour we were totally thrown by the reception we received - numerous staff appearingly hanging around doing very little and the manager on duty being an extremely... This is an altogether excellent place to chill and relax. Set on what must have seemed an awkward site there emerged an imaginative setting for an exceptional hotel. The core, reception and restaurant overlook the accommodation which is a mixture of 'cabins' which are in fact suites, and small blocks all set among a tropical forest type location. There is... Stayed for 2 nights in February, did not want to leave and wish we had stayed longer. The grounds are lovely and everything is so clean. The staff at reception are really really helpful and the younger staff in the restuarant are very pleasant and polite. The quality of food is excellent and the variety I think would suit everybody.... More

A bit out of the main Kovalum beach area but thats not an issue really. Even though this is only a 4 star (Indian Rating) We had a great stay. Rooms are spacious, but the bathrooms are a bit dated, although perfectly functional. We were not in a bungalow room but in a room in one of the larger blocks... More

Relaxed hotel, with 2 restaurants and swimming pools. Very reasonably priced to stay, and for food and drinks. Start of stay spoilt by being allocated a disabled room, with open bathroom roof, stagnant water (mosquito haven). Nice layout of cottages but walk to beach rubbish-strewn and constant hassle from sellers on the beach loungers.

A calm, Ayurvedic atmosphere pervaded the resort. Very large and well-maintained grounds with upper and lower levels joined by a small and slow elevator (with a male attendant). Both levels have nice pools and the lower level has a short walk to the beach. The restaurant is very nice with good food but there was some language confusion and the... More

Having read the reviews we plumped for Turtle Beach but it was fully booked for our first two days so we thought we'd try the Travencore Heritage. Some reviews were a bit sniffy about the beach being more of a fishing village but personally I prefer to see real life and loc kids playing football rather than rows of swanky... More

Leaving the snow in beautiful Shimla we enjoyed 14 fantastic days at the Travancore Heritage. We were allocated a beautiful room in lovely gardens which also came with a seaview. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. With our special thanks to Priya, Sreeja and Bapi who went out of their way to ensure our stay was truly memorable.
