We stayed a full week in the top quality B&B from Fred and Diane in Cailhau near Carcasonne. It is an absolutely quiet location with a splendid view on the colourful sunflower fields and the Pyrenean hills. We stayed in the 2 rooms and both were modern and perfectly clean. The beds were of very high quality. The breakfast buffet... More

We spent four days at Les Amandiers: our hosts Fred and Di made us extremely welcome in their beautiful home with fabulous views across vineyards to the snowcapped Pyrenees beyond. Our large double ensuite room was modern, scrupulously clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The Continental breakfast was superb and more than plentiful - in our four days we never... More

My wife and I were fortunate to spend a couple of nights in this excellent B&B located in a wonderful region of France; just 20 minutes drive from Carcassonne and its fairytale castle and close to other less-known but equally lovely towns such as Limoux and Quillan. Overlooking vines and fields of sunflowers, the view from the bedroom was second... More

This very special B&B was recommended as an alternative to other accomodation which was full, and it was our intention to stay one night at the start of a holiday further south in France. We were greeted by Fred & Di, as if we were long lost family members of theirs and treated just as warmly throughout. The accomodation is... More

We were referred onto Fred and di's bnb by another local bnb in the limoux region, and we are so grateful for this!  This was by far the best bnb we have ever stayed in.  Upon arriving we were greeted with a warm welcome, they were so friendly, and the refreshing drinks and afternoon tea of chocolate cake and raspberry... How fortunate we were to find this jewel for our short stay between Limoux and Carcassonne. Fred and Di, our hosts, gave us a very warm welcome in this stunning location and offered a great deal of advice on where to go and what to see in the area. Our two spacious en-suite rooms were spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds... More

Stunning is the word that springs to mind when you arrive at Les Amandiers - what a view. The owners have built this new house to their own very high specification, to take full advantage of the fabulous view overlooking the sunflower fields, grapevines and, in the distance, the Pyrenees. The guest accommodation is in the single storey part of... More

I stayed with Di and Fred in July 2011 for 2 nights. They were recommended to me by the owners of a B&B I stayed in at Limoux. I was so lucky to get the recommendation. The accommodation is excellent and wonderful value. Extremely new, modern, spotless and large by French standards. Di and Fred were great hosts, happy to... More

We stayed 2 nights at Les Amandiers. The property is in a beautiful location overlooking the Pyrenees mountains in the distance and the vineyards immediately below the property. We booked the slightly more expensive room and it is well worth it (the entire property is new, very nicely done, comfortable and with a very large terrace). There is plenty of... More

Immaculate double bedrooms with en-suite, own sitting room ,WiFi access. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with fabulous views over the vineyards to the Pyrenees. Swimming pool planned for next year. Welcoming host and hostess provide a cracking breakfast. Really good.
