Stayed here recently. With a group to celebrate a 50th birthday. Stayed in the motel. Rooms very very basic. Supposed to be wifi throughout the place but it is impossible to have a connection stay up so can't even check emails. Food was "ok". Breakfast was "ok" with only a choice of EITHER muesli, bruschetta or cooked. This is a... More

Best food for value, 5 star quality at a good price. Service was friendly, fire was warm, and I love the heritage charm, food just exceeds all expectations, it's what you'd expect at a more expensive restaurant.

If you are looking for heritage then this hotel's pedigree is impeccable, however, make sure you make it clear that you want one of the OLD rooms as the new motel rooms are very ordinary. There are only four rooms in the actual old part of the hotel. they are very pricey and you need to be keen to stay... More

I have been here before and had a nice meal with good service until this visit.... I was disgusted with the seconds menu. $14 for 7 bits of squid - what a crock... Side serve of fries $5 for a handful. Not doing that again!! What a waste! Horrible elastic meal, very disappointed. :(( I will not be back here... More

Not a positive experience. We were part of a group of about 12 and met here to have a catch up and a light meal. Unfortunately our booking for alfresco got rained out so we chose to get squeezed into the restaurant. The meals were cooked well and very tasty but the portions were tiny. I am over 50 and... More

Stayed here in 2013 and it was lovely. This time round- no confirmation email (and took multiple attempts to get hold of someone to clarify) there was no hot water (mid winter cold shower), no wifi and the inclusive breakfast comes with urn coffee only and they charge extra for any other variant. Was not worth the price they charge... More

Easy booking for restraunt. Great freindly service. Choice of several interesting rooms. Superbly prepared food. Parking a little difficult but, hey. Worth it. Accomodation a bit rustic but expected from this great old pub with history.

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday weekend, and it lived up to our expectations. Comfortable bed, all the amenities you need, close to the restaurant and reception, great atmosphere. Breakfast came with the room which was lovely (bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomato, toast). The only two things which let it down were one or two of the wait... More

The Rose and Crown is reputed to be Perth’s oldest pub and it could well be as it is blessed with a pleasant welcoming atmosphere. It is a large and rambling establishment with plenty of space for food and drink service. The restaurant is both inside and outside and the service is good as is the food. While the menu... More

This was a last minute booking. The receptionist handled my enquiry very efficiently over the phone. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main hotel. We liked the old world ambinence, the hotel being the oldest in the state. The room was a good size with access to the balcony, with an ensuite and air conditioning. The Rose... More
