What a destination! The serenity of the place was what had me the most excited. The Ned Kelly fire, the countryside overlook. My intention for the trip was to have some alone space to think, read a book, enjoy the countryside and relax. I got all of those things at the Hide, and so many more. Thank you Sue and... More

My partner, 3 year old son and I spent 4 blissful days at the hide. A truly beautiful place with an abundance of wildlife. Lisa and Sue were wonderful welcoming hosts and allowed us to wander around their lovely farm. We will certainly be returning and would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful break whilst being a very short distance... More

We really enjoyed having you and your little boy join us in some of the "farm" activities. It is great to see children interact with animals. Harry missed you after you left. The Hide offers a range of experiences for guests whether it be enjoying the farm activities or wanting a complete escape from it all to the peace and... More

We went with two friends and our dog Lucy for the weekend! Lucy had not seen a cow before ! That was interesting but we were able to take her out into the paddocks with control of course , just wonderful. The cottage was well prepared beautifully cosy and accomodated two couples very well, no snoring heard from either bedroom... More

I wanted a quiet little solo getaway and The Hide was perfect! It was just what I needed. I was welcomed on my arrival and shown everything I needed to know for my stay. Sue and Lisa assured me to give them a shout if I needed anything. The fire place was already going and had warmed the place up... More

We stayed at The Hide @ Mt Franklin for a spring long weekend getaway. We chose The Hide as it is dog friendly and is also set in a nice quiet setting. It’s a short drive to Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and many other local attractions although we just came for the peace and quiet. The house is cosy, comfortable and... More

Myself, hubby and our beautiful 9 month old German Shepherd had such a fun time at The Hide! Our puppy was mesmerised with the sights and smells of the property & area. Cows, horses, kangaroos, geese, alpacas & the resident doggies! Returning to the cosy house & toasty fire after a gallop around the paddocks or walk up the road... More

Lovely house with a view from the dining/living area of green pastures, grazing cows and a mob of kangaroos. Our toddler had a great time checking out the ducks and chickens. Close to Daylesford but far enough away to kick back and forget about the hustle and bustle. The homebaked sourdough bread and freshly laid eggs for breakfast were the... More

Loved this quiet, warm hideaway. Hosts were really warm and showed us how to use the cosy wood fire, etc. Really nicely set up. Delicious bread, eggs, butter and jam left for breakfast with coffee and tea. We walked around the property in the afternoon, I ran around nearby dirt roads the next day with the dog and did not...
