We booked this based initially due to it's location on the Great Glen, however this place is so much more. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Ian and Claire and taken to our lodge (Thistle). Ian took the time to chat to us about the lodge, the local wildlife and possible places to visit. The lodge was comfy and... More

Stayed at the Lodge with my sister who was visiting from Australia in June and it was more than I expected. We stated in Rowan Lodge, which had 2 bedrooms one upstairs and one downstairs. All lodges have a lovely deck outside to sit and watch the love night visitors the Pine Martens and to watch the boats on the... More

Upon arriving at Thistle Lodge on 2nd August, 2014 for 7 nights with my hubby, 2 kids and dog, we were warmly welcomed by Claire, who took the time to explain everything we needed to know, the information in the Lodge was really informative. My expectations of the location and lodge were really high and I can say without hesitation,... More

We have just returned from a truly amazing holiday at the Great Glen Lodges. On arrival we were shown to our home for two weeks,... More

Great Glen Lodges does exactly what it says on the tin, it gives home from home comforts and one of the most amazing views I have ever seen. From the outset Claire and Ian's hosting skills were excellent with incredible attention to detail, spotlessly clean throughout and detailed information left us wanting for nothing. Claire is so passionate about the... More

The lodges themselves are not too bad if you can live with a shower that is either scorching hot or luke warm and a bathroom door that is hanging off its hinges (the door was fixed when we mentioned it to the caretaker). The pine martins are nice my daughter enjoyed seeing them each evening. Unfortunately that the end of... More

Dear Guest, I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, although I must say I can quite understand when the first question you asked before getting out of you car was "Where is the nearest Pub"! It was clear from the start that you could not have read our accommodation and location details before making your reservation.... More

We spent a week in Thistle Lodge (which used to be the owner's home before they built a new one). It's beautifully equipped, and has lovely views over Loch Lochy and the mountains beyond. We sat for hours in the conservatory each evening, just watching the world go by, checking what campers were up to on the other side of... More

We had two lodges together for our family. It was perfect. The lodges were very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The scenery, as others have said, is spectacular all around. Need to be aware that there is limited access to Internet anywhere in the locality. Also electricity is metered but not expensive (ours... We spent a long weekend and had booked the accommodation to allow us to attend the Mountain Bike World Cup in the Nevis Range. The event was fabulous BUT it didn't allow us to take in the surrounding area and make full use of the lodge. Such a shame...We'll just need to come back for an extended stay next time.... More

All of the reviews for this place have been great for good reason. We stayed here with our 3 month old over the Easter holidays. Perfect location for our first family holiday.
