Nature is still rather dull in this region end of March therefore the park around the manor and the main entrance with magnificent fountain can just be imagined during the summer time. Regardless of my personal preferences excellently renovated manor! Large public rooms on second floor for parties decorated with authentic historical furniture and paintings. Guest rooms on the second... More

Our experience at Malpils Manor was strange from the beginning. We arrived between 5:30 and 6:00pm. There was no one at the reception desk - in fact no one in sight anywhere. After ringing the service bell 2 or 3 times, the chef came out of the restaurant kitchen. She could not understand English, so went to find a waiter... More

We had a special romantic package, so it was really nice - candles all over, champagne in room. The bed and quality of sleep was superior :) Restaurant was peaceful, calm, relaxing and filling! I suspect than in better wheather conditions it is even better!

We visited Malpils muiza (manir) on 15th of February for brunch and it was excellent choice! Only thing was missing, recognition since we made ph reservation, but waitress did not know about it. Rest just outstanding: wonderful live accordion music, rich & elaborate buffet & fantastic dessert tables, space to walk between meals with kids on hallways of manor in... More

Nice small menu, with high-quality local cousin. Chef pays attention to details. Really great place, pne of the best in Latvoa. The only drawback - short wine list, suprising giving the fact that they probably have great cellar in the manor.

Visited Malpils Manor during wintertime and stayed at Black Land Ladys room. It was nice room but felt bit to small to be called luxury room. Hotels Web page claimed(in latvian version) room have excellent dvd collection, but we only found about 6dvd - few chick flicks and live gigs, and the TV screen was put in corner, bit to... More

I loved the place, its a bit a hidden gem, but it isn't too far from Riga! Simply stunning little castle:) The people where nice, great for self indulging weekend or so, quiet and relaxing... I think definetly one of the best of the best that type of accommodation! I would recommend for everyone who wants a little escape from... More

Its the place where I would like to return again and again. Perfect escape from everyday stress and noises. Just singing birds.. Fresh air of the forest...Simple luxury. Since the hotel has just 9 rooms its hardly ever crowded there. Great SPA area with nice swimmimg pool and various treatments. Perfect restaurant with the locally grown vegetables, wild berries from... More

This is an exceptionally well restored country house hotel. When I say restored, I mean completely restored. Everything is spot on. The only caveat is that they have to make their money from weddings and conferences, and so few people stay during the week. We stayed on a Sunday night, and the wedding group were just leaving, and we had... More
