This year our family of 2 adults and 2 teens stayed for 10 nights, our second visit to this lovely camp. The facility is in a very scenic and peaceful area in the La Cloche mountains, uniquely beautiful. We now understand why the famous Canadian landscape artists "The Group of Seven" painted here. Our unit was quiet, clean and comfortable.... More

My wife and I just returned from a week at Charlton Lake Camp. It was stormy and cold most of the week but we still had a great time. By leaving our car on the other side of the river it was like we were leaving all of our cares behind. The cottage was roomy and had everything we could... More

What great coverage of what we're all about! The weather this year has been so crazy, I think the fish are mixed up too. I agree, fishing left a lot to be desired last week. But fishing, along with the weather has improved this week with several large (3-5 lb) smallmouth brought in, and numbers of fish in general being... More

WOW...talk about first class service, on arrival we were greeted and asked if assistance was needed with our belongings, as they will boat over your things, we have our own boat so we were able to do it. Once we reached the dock, we were given help caring all our stuff up to the cottage. We had arrived earlier than... More

First time here but will definitely return. Stayed the week of August 2-9, 2014 and had great weather. Spent our time on the lakes, hiking or just relaxing on the property. Lori and Ryan were excellent hosts and we were impressed with how hard they work to make certain all of the guests are taken care of. Fishing was productive... More

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Charlton Lake Camp. Our cottage # 6 had three bedrooms, was clean and well equipped to make our stay easy and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained and the equipment allowed for a wide range of experiences for the family. The setting includes a river and adjoining lakes with the La Cloche mountains... More

Our family spent 7 relaxing days from August 2-9th, 2014 at Charlton Lake. Had great weather, did many small hikes, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming and soaking up the sun. We had cabin #2 (3 bedroom) which had a well equipped kitchen, good shower and comfortable beds and pillows. Thanks, Lori and Ryan for the great tips on hikes and the... More

Great week last week at Charlton Lake Camp! Could've been a bit warmer....but nothing could ruin the tranquility of this camp! Good fishing and enjoyed the hammocks! It was my nieces first time visiting and she is already planning her trip for next year!

I think your visit was as much fun for us as we hope it was for you. Weather aside, we're glad you made the decision to make the drive from Ohio. We're looking forward to seeing you this winter and hopefully back on the lake in 2015 as well. Bentley says to tell Baby hello! More

My wife and I stayed at CLC for the July 19th weekend, our first time. We stayed one night in cottage #4(note to self:receives wifi signal), which we had pre-booked, and then were fortunate to stay another night, in cabin #9(note to self:no wifi signal). Loved both cabins. Quiet and good nights sleep. An excellent experience for us and fantastic... More

We hadn't been back to Charlton Lake Camp since 1987 and we were excited to visit again from June 12th-19th 2014. We stayed in cabin #6, Wolf's Den. Much of the camp was just as we remembered, but all the upgrades made it even better. Can't wait to stay again in a cabin with the metal roof and listen to... More

We're so glad that we've managed to provide you with "new" old memories. Having worked at the camp as a teenager, I've worked to maintain the "warm feelings" I remember about the camp. The WiFi is a challenge as the only thing available to us is phone line DSL. Cottages closest to the main lodge can get the WiFi within... More

My wife and I stayed at Charlton Lake Camp for Canada Day long weekend. We visited this area before but this was our first stay at this camp. We had a great experience! We stayed at the Loon's Nest (1 bedroom) cottage. The cottage was impeccably clean and had everything one needs for a nature retreat - a comfortable bed,... More
