We stayed at the Burlton Inn as we had a Wedding reception to go to in the nearby village of Wem. The accommodation was perfect and extremely clean, the carpet on the stairs up to it off the car park was a little dirty but what do you expect coming off a wet car park. We slept like logs as... More

The Burlton really used to be the place to stay for anyone flying into Sleap Airfield. I have stayed a few times in the past and was very much looking forward to some great pub grub and a few pints of local ale in a bustling bar full of atmosphere, as i remembered it. Something has changed here, and it... More

We recently stayed at this hotel en route to a Wedding . We took 5 of the 6 rooms . The rooms are bright , plenty of space and good sized bathroom .The staff were incredibly helpful and organised taxis for all of us . Breakfast was also good value . We all enjoyed ourself and for the price paid,... More

We were not at all happy with our stay . On arrival the room we were shown to had not been cleaned, the bed was unmade from the previous occupant and there were dirty towels in the bathroom. We were not offered a discount at any time. On our last night we were informed (not in person) that we needed... More

Visited here after eating at here on many occasion, but the first time we have since we found it that it had changed hands. So so disappointing. The food here used to be amazing, and very reasonably priced for what it was. On this occasion, the food we had was very average. There was nothing specifically wrong with it, just... More

Stayed for one night here and it is a delightful place . The room was spotless, we stayed in the four poster room. We only paid £55 which is fantastic value. The breakfast was lovely with everything you need to set you up for the day. We ate in the pub for our evening meal which was very nice too.... More

We visited last weekend, after using our Michelin Pub Guides. I had lamb hotpot, my partner a vegetarian had the only main course option of mushroom stroganoff. Starters a shared olives and baguette. Boring food no flavours, the olives standard tins. All average or below, Not expensive but a waste of money, as we eat better at home. The beer... More

Highly recommended - Ignore any negative comments you might read about this place Booked 3 nights, but stayed an extra night as there was so much to do in Shropshire and the Burlton Inn far exceeded our expectation. The accommodation which is across the car park from the Inn was fantastic, very spacious and spotlessly clean, Crisp white linen, soft... More

Spent a couple of nights here on a business trip and found it very friendly and a peaceful place to stay. Room was comfortable and tidy so it was a nice place to stay after a long drive or a busy day. Friendly service in the bar with good beer, although only only 1 draught beer available. We didn't try... More

We descended on the Burlton Inn at less than 24 hours notice, six adults, one toddler and one baby, for lunch. Throughout our visit, the service was really helpful and considerate and the food delicious, we had a lovely time and would recommend it very highly. Well done!
