I stayed at the Robertson's Arms for one night. I found the reception great, the room cosy and comfortable and the overall experience excellent. The room was compact but contained excellent amenities, comfortable bed, the best pillows I have ever had in a hotel, and excellent and useful additions such as an iron and board and extra charging points. Always... More

I popped in to this charming village hotel recently and was very impressed by the atmosphere and warm welcome which myself and my friends received. I will definitely use this lovely hotel again, the food was excellent served by friendly attentive staff.

We have passed this B&B at least 100 times but never ventured in? Had dinner hear on Friday night with friends and we were really pleasantly surprised. It is like the tardis inside, very nice bar and lounge and sitting room just down from the "nook and cranny". The service was good and the food was very good. We were... More

I live very close to this restaurant and have ate here a handful of times. Food is delicious, very good chef. It's very attractive indoors. The only let down is the owner, he is one of the rudest humans I have ever met. Last time I was their the cutlery was stained and I had kindly asked for a new... More

Had a fantastic meal with twelve family members. However, the owner needs to learn some manners. Very rude and ignorant. We spent over three hundred pounds and will not be returning. The waitress was lovely, shame she has to work with someone who has no people skills

As we live locally we like to try restaurants in the area. We hadn't booked but were quickly shown to a table by the friendly staff. The menu was very much pub grub with plenty of choice. Decor in our part of the restaurant was traditional and rustic. We started with chicken pakora which was quite nice. My partner chose... More

Spent just one night in this smallish hotel in Carnwath. Not disappointed at all, although had to admit that the actual town was somewhat dour and a little run down in places. The hotel was like a little jewel, though. Excellent food with very acceptable menu, all at reasonable prices for the quality. Nice clean lounge and bar area, which... More

We were in room 8, a double at the back of the hotel, which was wonderfully quiet for our 4 month old. The staff went well out of their way to help us with the baby, even finding us a seat in the Nook & Cranny that was directly underneath him so our monitor would work! Lovely hot and powerful...
