I stayed for one night at the Dorset Arms Hotel before starting my Hadrian's Wall adventure from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway. The rooms were very modern and clean; great powerful shower and spacious bathroom. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I was even cooked a lovely evening meal by the... More

I have just spent a long weekend in the Dorset Arms hotel room Number 5 which I found to be well below standard. Our room was always cold (Only room with old timber windows with handles missing ). Every time some one walked along the corridor our internal lobby light would come on through out the night as it is... More

I stay at the Dorset Arms Hotel regularly, I was there 3 weeks ago and am booked in again next weekend. The staff are very friendly Stan goes out of his way to help you in any way he can. Rooms are great, and well equipped, although if there's music on in the bar it can be noisy, but it... More

As a family of four, with a dog, we took two rooms... Number 7 and number 2... The kids absolutely loved number 2 with 2 single beds and lovely bathroom... Us adults enjoyed our room, yes there is a boiler but rather than being detrimental it makes for a warm and cosy night. I particularly enjoyed the aroma of breakfast,... More

We stayed in the Dorset Arms recently on a trip over from Northern Ireland. The staff were very friendly, clean room and enjoyed the breakfast every morning. I'm not one to usually write reviews but thought was very impressed with this place and wanted to recommend it. We will now use it on our regular trips over to Newcastle. Thanks... More

We stayed at the Dorset Arms between the 14th-16th December 2013. We chose this B&B for its location and it seemed to have fairly good reviews. My first impression was a good one - the pub had a nice exterior and ample car parking. Unfortunately, it all went wrong when we stepped into the pub. The pub decor looked tired.... More

We picked what seemed like the best out of the cheapest hotels near the centre of Newcastle and we were pleasantly suprised!! When we walked in we were welcomed by two dogs who were the owners, and us being two dog lovers knew we'd picked the right place! Room was all we needed, nicely decorated with a big en suite... More
