Our stay at Chateau Balazuc was amazing. It is a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. There is such a quality to every aspect of the stay from the rooms and the cosy sitting area to the hot tub and the breakfasts. Absolutely wonderful hosts with great local knowledge and anticipation of their guests needs-- even umbrellas for my spell... More

We stayed in the Remparts room. It was gorgeous. The chateau is beautifully and stylishly renovated - highest quality and very modern but in perfect sympathy with the historical house. The location, perched above the village and river, is superb and the privacy and facilities - pool, jacuzzi, terraces for sunbathing - absolutely first class. Luc and Flo are great... More

Just returned from our annual trip to France which this year included a few days at Le Chateau de Balazuc in the Ardeche . What an amazing place a castle perched on high above the Ardeche river with stunning views. Luc and Florence were delightful hosts and we enjoyed their company very much. Florence wrote out an itinerary for a... More

Everything. The proprietors of chateau Balazuc made our short visit one to remember. The location itself is one of a kind, in an 11th century home, with a view overlooking Balazuc. The evening apertif allowed to meet our other guests and the breakfast the next morning was delectable, and local. Would recommend to anyone up for a unique rural experience.

We spent four days at Chateau de Balazuc and our experience surpassed our high expectations brought about by other reviewers comments. The hospitality afforded by our hosts, Luc and Florence, went beyond the bounds we have ever experienced and we have been to some fabulous places in the past. Accommodation could not be faulted in any way. The breakfast and... More

I stayed 6 nights in this beautifully renovated chateau with my son the week before Easter. We used the place as a starting point for canoe trips. Perfectly located, the Fazao canoe location is only a 5 minutes walk so that the car could stay at the parking. After the canoeing we used the host tub to relax. Luc, the... More

Run by the very lovely Luc and Florence, this stunning castle sits on top of the very nice village of Balazuc. We arrived with 2 small kids, having missed the fact that it's not suitable for kids, but they were thoroughly accommodating and looked after us extremely well. Lovely rooms as well.

Like everyone else on TripAdvisor, we had a perfect stay at Chateau de Balazuc. We stayed in the Remparts room which has a terrasse for lounging. Luc & Florence make you feel very welcome - we loved the aperitif at 7pm with the other guests. There are only 4 bedrooms, so you very quickly get to know the other guests.... More

An amazing chateau, a part of history yet luxurious, a place where you can unwind, receive amazing hospitality, enjoy delicious food! Balazuc its self is lovely town to walk through if you can appreciate "old towns" untouched by modern society. The L'Ardeche River is walking distance where you can swim or kayak, or you can take a walk to the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The castle has been tastefully renovated and all the rooms are amazing! The views from the property are spectacular and Florence and Luc are undoubtedly the best hosts we have come across in all our travels! They went out of their way to make our stay one that we wouldn't... More
