The hotel was being renovated but only the outdoor looked done, the hallway was dusty, in repair; The room was basic but clean and the bathtub was chipped; we learned the hotel was going through repairs and about to be updated. As it is conveniently situated ,near the railway station, it's worth a one night stay but it lacks charm and the... I stayed for four nights and had a double room at the front with a balcony on the second floor. The room was basic and clean although on several days there was a smell from the waste outlet of the bath or wash basin. The continental breakfast was excellent although the cold meats could have been of a higher standard.... More

My mum and I stayed here for 5 nights while we visited my daughter. Great location just a minute from the station and two minutes from town centre. Room was clean and had everything we needed. No real noise from trains. Friendly staff and good value breakfast at 9 euros. I would recommend this hotel.

There was secure bike storage in the garage under the hotel. It was not air conditioned, which the girl on reception did point out to us several times as we were booking. The room was small & backed on to the railway line so we could not leave the window open. It was not very modern but clean. The receptionist... More

Well placed small hotel, where everything is OK, but nothing special - hotel is clean, rooms are ordinary, bathroom worked well, breakfast reasonable, but the hotel is lacking in charm, and not particulary cheap..........OK for an overnight stay, but not necessarily a place you would want to return to. I am sure you could do better witha private B &... More

We chose this hotel for a night's stopover while meandering by train between Meymac and Florence. The room was clean, but there is no A/C. This was a problem, as the weather was very warm and humid. Sleeping with the window open meant we were subjected to the heavy thumping of freight trains passing below, and to the rolling thunder... More

It's proximity to the railway station is a great asset. Even with heavy bags it's within easy reach. We stayed twice and had two different rooms. Both comfortable. One bigger than the other but we got a good night's sleep. Well insulated from external sounds; no problems with internal ones. Reception very helpful. A good choice for breakfast. Would stay... While this sounds like a noisy hotel the double windows mean that a good night's sleep can be had. The rooms are small - if you're a big person perhaps looks elsewhere. But it is good value (56euros a night) and the breakfasts fresh and wholesome. Wish we could have spent more than three nights here. The staff are friendly... More

Took a small room since i needed it for a business trip. The hotel location is great, just steps away from the train station. The staff are great and helpful. Some noise from the train station and i think the walls between the rooms are somewhat thin because i could hear some of the neighbors when they are making lots... More

As our stay in Chambery was packed with activities, we just needed a place to sleep, and therefore chose one of the cheaper hotels. Receptionists where very friendly and helpfull, room was clean and "functional" in lack of a better word. Recommend this hotel for those just using the room to sleep.
