I stayed here for 1 night for my birthday. Loved its location with good views over Chambery. It probably would have been difficult to find without sat nav. Very quiet, lovely swimming pool but too cold to swim unfortunately in April. The large luxury room with views over woodland, interesting décor, very spacious, large wet room with powerful shower. Flat... More

We chose this hotel on the basis of the trip advisor reviews. We arrived here after about seven hours of driving and we're looking forward to having dinner in the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not open so we had to go out a short while later to find a restaurant inChambery. The room was large and the bed... More

A beautiful chateau in a lovely location. Tth room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was huge and very comfortable. I loved the bath which was large and deep. Our room (102) overlooked the forest and had a large balcony. We had dinner in the Orangerie restaurant which was really delicious and the restaurant itself very pretty. The staff... More

This was our second time at this lovely location. Our room was a suite but not in the old section of the chateau so a bit of a disappointment as we prefer old world over modern. Also the reception staff were less than welcoming or accommodating with no assistance with baggage or amenities for the room. However, the chateau is... More

The hotel is set in its own grounds overlooking Chambery. The entrance is quite low profile and the parking arrangements are not ideal, especially when some residents insist on overnight parking in front of hotel which makes loading and unloading difficult. Met by enthusiastic but slightly amateurish reception staff, no evidence of a manager, but shown to room which was... More

The room, bathroom and property in general were very clean. Comfort: Very comfy bed, nice full pillows with soft sheets. Noise: No concerns. Food: Excellent food. Every course was delicious and presented very artistically. Beautiful restaurant and great... More

Specious rooms, good size and deep swimming pool and friendly people. The view was amazing. The weather was fabulous to dine outside. All the dishes were carefully prepared and delicious. We loved the time there.

My wife and I have just had 3 days in the Chateau de Candie, room 108. This is our second stay here and will undoubtedly not be the last. The chateau is located about 3 miles outside of Chambery, but very easy to drive to, it is about an hours walk if you feel energetic going up the hill. The... More

Perhaps it's not fair to judge this visit on Tripadvisor as it was (for summer) a cool and rainy experience. Still, I'll deal with all the elements that will be of most interest WITHIN the property. Our spacious and high ceilinged bedroom was nicely furnished, although the double bed was a little smaller than others we had slept in on... More

We stayed for 2 nights for a friend's wedding, with the reception being held here. It's a beautiful setting and well presented place. Lovely gardens, surrounded by vineyard and woodlands, an immaculate pool, clean rooms and comfortable beds & furniture. The catering was fantastic so I can only imagine that the Orangerie restaurant is equally good. We didn't have any... More
