We did not stay here by choice. Our car broke down and was sent for repair to a nearby garage. This was the only hotel available nearby. There was a smell of cooked food everywhere. The pool and chairs looked in need of a good overhaul. We didn't eat in the restaurant as the menu was uninspiring and there was... More

If you've ever wanted to reenact any scene from The Shining then Le Roma is your Overlook Hotel. If feels very 1970s in decor and a bit grubby overall. There were hints of other guests but we never actually saw them. When we watched the World Cup semi final in the bar we were the only people there. Even the... More

We stayed here for a number of nights as a base for an organised tour around the Alps. The hotel looks as though it was built for the 1992 Olympic Games and hasn't had much done since then. The rooms are quite dated. For a 3 star rated hotel i would have liked an inroom kettle to make a coffee... More

I could not figure out what this hotel reminded me of until I realized that it is what a 3 star ski lodge looks like without snow. The food is mediocre to bad. The service is hit and miss. I have a cold and my sense of smell is off but I am pretty sure my room smells like cigarette... More

Early in the evening we needed a hotel, and when we passed Le Roma we decided to stop. The hotel is not exciting, but the rate was ok, so we decided ton stay for the night. The lady at the reception was serviceeminded and spoke very well English. The room was small but very clean and functionally. The TV worked... More

My husband and I were booked in as part of a tour group and I'm sad to say I have not stayed in a more run down and depressing place for quite some time. Our room was not in the main part of the hotel and it was both dirty and smelt of damp. We kept the balcony doors open... More

Stayed in this hotel for two nights in July 2013 during le Tour de France. Arrived at night. The hotel is filthy. . The room stank - of damp and mould - even by leaving the french doors onto the balcony open for two days the place reeked. The bathroom was filthy too.

The Roma is in a quiet location, ideal for a overnight stop, I opted for the the room with balcony, overlooking the mountains. The room has shutters allowing for a great sleep. The bathroom is clean and fresh. The hotel has a restaurant which is okay, nothing special but acceptable for one night.

As a stop over hotel this place ticked all the right boxes. The hotel is just off the main route to the major ski resorts and provides a good break to your journey before the final slog up the mountains. The rooms are clean ( although a little snug) and the room we used was quiet given the proximity of... More

The reception staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Shame the maitre d/waiter didn't follow suit. Indifferent welcome in the restaurant, indifferent service and indifferent food. Our room was a good size but a bit faded. Bed and bath linen were good and everything was very clean. It's a convenient stop off en route to the Alps and the... More
