We have spent one night to this very pleasant lodge, we got a very warm stay with competent stuff. The diner was excellent, we can only recommend this place, not too far from Sossusvlei. The owner is very friendly and we've got nice discussion with her. Many thanks to all of you. Francis & Muriel

My husband and I are quite fussy but we liked this lodge. It is right in the desert about 45 minutes from Sesserim. It certainly isn’t fancy but it was more than adequate, very clean and we enjoyed staying somewhere more connected to Namibia than some of the fancier lodges where you could be anywhere in the world. The staff... More

Agama offers good accommodation. It was the only place in the Namib Naukluft area in this price cataegory where we had air-conditioning in our room. However, the biggest bonus was the quality of the bed - by far the best sleeping experience of our trip. The staff were new and friendly, but a bit unsure of themselves. Dinner was adequate,... More

We really relaxed at Agama River Camp. We purchased drinks from the bar which we enjoyed up on the roof of our villa as we watched the sun go down and the sky change colour. The stars were amazing but we didn't sleep up there. We had a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds before our early morning coffee... More

My friends and I booked 2 campsites a couple of weeks back and had an awful experience. The facilities are non existent with no electricity. The female owner was extremely abrupt and rude and had no professionalism at all. We had one of the worst experiences camping ever. Do not stay here if you want a relaxing few days camping.... More

As I cannot remember hosting or meeting a ’JimS S’ from Zambia it’s very difficult to respond to such slander although we have a very good idea who this pseudonym represents, suffice to say that the vast majority of visitors to our establishment over nine years have enjoyed our many facilities and gracious hosting skills. It is a pity that... More

A stone's through away from the hustle of Sesriem we were welcomed by friendly staff and host. Each well appointed room has its own roof-top viewing deck to enjoy great sunsets. Complimented by specially prepared tasteful dinners made our two night stay a real treat. Next time I will try the campsite which also looks great!

This was the first campsite that I took on my trip and definitely one of the best. There is a sunset deck up at the lodge, which is a great place to hand out and have a beer as the sun goes down. The mountains surround the area, which is ridiculously gorgeous. There is a pool, which I imagine would... More

Stayed for 1 night at the campsite. About an hour from Sossusvlei if you are going north. Campsite looked to have about 7 pitches well spread out with fencing separating them. Ours was next to the ablutions block which meant it wasn't very private (some of the others looked much quieter). Ablutions are an amazing open to the sky design,... More

My wife and I stayed in room 2 whilst on a safari tour, so I can not comment on the price. The room was very large, clean and had a very firm bed, but comfortable. The rooms have a balcony on the roof, which is a perfect place to watch the sunsets and sunrises. We ate breakfast and dinner there... More

The campground at Agama River Camp is pleasant with privacy fences between neighboring sites and trees in relatively large sites. The ablutions block is artistic and functional. Hot water only in the evening though. Our site was next to the ablutions block which we found to be less than ideal because of all the foot traffic coming by on their... More
