First off, I would recommend this jungle lodge for the following reasons: 1. Location: it is deep (6 hours by boat) in the jungle and has a good chance of seeing plenty of different animals dependent on the time of year. 2. Accommodation: the tents you sleep in (only three at the moment so maximum of 9 people in the... More

I highly recommend choosing Berraco for your jungle experience. From my first email to arriving back to rurrenabaque after 4 days in the jungle I felt so privileged. I was very lucky to see a Jaguar on my way to the lodge. The staff are very knowledgable and go out of their way to make sure you are having a... More

Let's just call it Ripoff Tours. No security (in case of accident there was no boat to return to Rurre and no telephone link), no sustainability (nescafe, coca cola, chemical soaps, diesel generator), poor food and extremely expensive

Because there are so unscrupulous people who dare to do harmful feedback about business ventures made by small indigenous entrepreneurs as our company is, with the sole objective is to damage our image being the real reason the fact that this person had no idea of what she wanted and where she was standing, demanding communications such as telephone, much... Me and my boyfriend have just finished our Jungle stay with Berraco del Madidi and had an amazing time. Our guide and founder of the tour Pedro was brilliant and always laughing. He spoke great English and was very knowledgable. The campsite is spectacular. It is a lot deeper in to the jungle than other sites, very well built, very... More

Excellent company, they responded to emails prior to the trip promptly and answered all my questions (I asked a lot). They were very accommodating to our requests (I am vegetarian) and provided pickup from the airstrip in Rur. They even booked my hotel for me in Rur! The actual tour is out of this world, the site is very clean,... More

Our 4 days trip to Berraco Del Madidi camp was absolutely awesome. The camp is located really deep in the Selva and you'll feel yourself completely overwhelmed. The campsite is very clean, nights under tents are very stunning and Berraco's staff are very kind. William was our guide, very nice person, always trying to explain sounds, smells, plants, culture etc...We... More

Me and my flatmate stayed at the ecolodge for three days and we had a wonderful time. The place is so far off the beaten track that you think all that jungle is just there for you. The facilities underline the idea of the proximity to nature, since there are no closed rooms. At first I was a little scared... More

I just went on a 5 day 4 night trip with my boyfriend and another friend with Berraco del Madidi. It was INCREDIBLE. The camp, which has 3 platforms for tents, is tucked away 6 hours up river, the trip being an experience in itself. Each platform area is spacious and set apart from the others so you have your... Great 6hr boat ride in, 4hrs out. Loved every minute of the 4 nights and days in between too. While Berraco del Madidi has only been operating the last 3 years, the entire operation is a culmination of a 20+ year old vision and dream of 2 brothers (Pedro and Gilder) from San Jose de Uchupiamona, a remote village (8hrs... We have read many reviews of the tour operators and shortlisted several of which in the end we were having a hard time deciding between Mashaquipe and Berraco. We paid attention to ecological friendly way of running the camp site and supporting local communities, having an organisation run by people who care about the environment and are connected to the...
