My husband and I were travelling around South America and this was definitely a 'must' visit. Arrival: 5 hour journey on a canoe, we were lucky enough to see a jaguar, with our guide who was knowledgeable and fun. We stopped for what we thought was lunch but in fact was only a snack. Walk to the lodges, which were... More

We spent 3 nights at Chalalan and had a wonderful time. The cabins are spacious and comfortable, although a little cold in winter as the windows have fly screen but no glass. Also, there is no hot water making washing a little bracing. The food was great, our guide was committed and knowledgeable and the staff was incredibly friendly and... More

I have been travelling in South America for a month, and this was definitely my favorite place, and favorite experience. This place is simply magical: cabins, hamacs, dining room and other facilities in a magical location, around serene Chalalan lake, alive with birds and two kinds of monkeys. Guided nature walks, surreal sounds, peaceful siestas in a hammoc, friendly staff,... More

Fantastic stay at Chalalan Lodge. The location is wonderful, the staff terrific - our guide Giovanni was simply amazing - extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, and patient. I highly recommend it. The adventure to the jungle and staying at Chalalan Lodge were high points of my trip to Bolivia. My two daughter s and I had a fantastic time!

My stay at Chalalan Ecolodge in Madidi National Park 04,13-15 2014 was part of the trip put together by Ruta Verda tours. The stay started with a 5 hour trip upriver from Rurrenabaque to the lodge in a raging deluge that fortunately ended that morning. The boat drivers did a great job navigating the flood debris in the water. The... More

We stayed in Chalalan for 4 nights and did not want to leave. From begining to end we had a magical time. Obi was an excellent guide and we felt in very safe hands. The lodge is comfortable, unpretencious and in a beautiful setting by a lagoon that you can swim in to cool off after a long morning trek... More

Chalalan Lodge is a professional tour operator with great tour guides and accommodation. We were amazed by our jungle experiences. We saw so many animals and learned so many things. A big thanks to our guide Nelson who worked us hard with long walks, but showed us and taught us many things. Our matrimonial lodge was awesome, big, clean, and... More

6 weeks in South America and the Chalalan Ecolodge was our favorite experience. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and our guide was great. All the staff was committed to our enjoyment of the few days we visited the lodge and we felt we were truly given a deluxe experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone with a sense... More

I travelled to Chalalan Ecolodge in September 2013. From the moment I landed in Rurre all of the staff from Chalalan were truly eager to assist and make our experience a great one. I was travelling with a group of 13 in total and we were greeted at the airport by 3 workers who packed all our luggage on to... More
