Chalalan Lodge is a professional tour operator with great tour guides and accommodation. We were amazed by our jungle experiences. We saw so many animals and learned so many things. A big thanks to our guide Nelson who worked us hard with long walks, but showed us and taught us many things. Our matrimonial lodge was awesome, big, clean, and... More

6 weeks in South America and the Chalalan Ecolodge was our favorite experience. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and our guide was great. All the staff was committed to our enjoyment of the few days we visited the lodge and we felt we were truly given a deluxe experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone with a sense... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Chalalan lodge in April 2013. We had a brilliant time, the trip on the boat to the lodge is fun, we saw amazing wildlife and our guide was very knowledgeable. the lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable and the food and staff were brilliant. All in all highly recommended and we felt happy that... More

I travelled to Chalalan Ecolodge in September 2013. From the moment I landed in Rurre all of the staff from Chalalan were truly eager to assist and make our experience a great one. I was travelling with a group of 13 in total and we were greeted at the airport by 3 workers who packed all our luggage on to... More

My husband and I brought a group to Chalalan. We had heard many good things about it, so we thought it would be the perfect place for our group. We made the arrangements over the internet, and everything ran smoothly. We filled the entire lodge with our group. We flew into Rurre, our flight was delayed, but we finally made... More

The group I traveled with returns to Chalalan year after year for a reason - it's a wonderful experience! Apart from the stimulating nature that surrounds you while you're there, the lodging itself is modern and everything is well kept. The food is great, the staff go out of their way to make your trip memorable and enjoyable, there are... More

This was such an amazing experience, certainly one that I will never forget. From the time we left the dock on the boat until we returned I was learning from my Guide. My Guide, Yhovani, grew up in a village in this area and has experience of growing up in the rain forest as well as a degree in biology.... More

We were traveling as a family group - my husband and I with my parents (67 and 70) and my aunt (60) - and everyone thoroughly enjoyed Chalalan. Neil was great to work with on booking the trip and had all of the details coordinated and nailed down even though we were booking in 3 separate groups. He booked our... More

We decided to book with Chalalan after seeing them on National Geographic website. Once we arrived in Rurrenabaque, Nalson was assigned as our guide and stayed with us right up until we arrived back in in Rurre. Because this is a community operated venture, Nalson is part of the community and therefore had grown up in the jungle. His knowledge... More

The idea behind Chalalan is great, however it has been executed poorly. Chalalan is managed by the local tribe now, who appear to be more keen to take money, than provide a service. It is unique, and I think many people who have enjoyed it possible have not experienced other lodges like this. My issues were: the guides had knowledge,... More
