We travelled as a couple and had a an awesome tour with Mashaquipe. We did the 5 nights option - 3 night in the jungle (with 1 of these nights camping) and 2 nights in the pampas. It was a great combination of accommodations, treks, wildlife and our guide (Alejandro) was brilliant - he was knowledgable, humorous and good company.... More

Being a wildlife lover and having dreamed of visiting the jungle since I was a child this was a special experience. We decided on this tour even though it was around $100 more then others because we liked that the company was community owned and operated and that it was ecologically minded. The company is run by many members of... More

This trip has been one of the absolute highlights of my so-far 7 month stint through the Americas. My partner and i were unsure as to where to enter the Amazon from, after finally settling on Bolivia we got searching for a company who did right by both the people and the environment. Even though their prices are a bit... More

We had an amazing 4D/3N combined Jungle and Pampas tour with Mashaquipe tour company. The whole organisation, transportation and accomodation was good. They have a policy where they do not let more then 5 persons in a group and when we did the tour it was just the two of us. Our guide (Alejandro) was really professional and had so... More

I had spoken to a few people that had been with Mashaquipe Eco Tours and recommended them thoroughly so on this basis I booked a 3 days jungle/2 days pampas trip and away I went! Firstly I have to say that after not being terribly impressed with the Bolivian locals in La Paz that the local jungle families who own... More

We hadn't done very much research about tour companies but were recommended this company by our hostel and are incredibly pleased that we ended up here! The cost is slightly higher than we wanted to pay as we are both young travellers away for quite some time - but it was worth every penny. Out guide Ernesto (Che) was fantastic... More

We recently had the privilege to take part in the Jungle/Pampas 4 night 5 day tour with Mashaquipe and had Eber as our guide for the 5 days. The whole tour was well organised and we constantly felt like the guides genuinely cared about our experience and tried their absolute hardest to spot some animals for us. We also noticed... More

I did the jungle tour in early November. It rained on and off but was dry and sunny most of the time. I did the two day tour as after three days of pampas I thought I would be tired and eaten to death by mosquitos (both were true) but a part of me wishes I had done longer. I... More

I highly recommend this company. They are respectful of the jungle and of the locals. In fact I think all employees are from local communities - a real plus. Our guide Ishmael was unreal. He knew so much about the flora and fauna, gave us heaps of jungle food to try and heaps of info about it all. He was... More

We chose Mashaquipe because they offered some unique experiences, including camping in the Madidi. We did the three-day jungle, two-day pampas tour. Wilman, our guide, grew up in a local community and it showed in both his deep knowledge of jungle plants and animals and in his cultural reference points. He was quite adept at spotting animals, particularly on our... More
