Met my in-laws for lunch which was excellent. Quiet, great views, exceptional and friendly service with overall enjoyable experience. Food, great value and so fresh it was mouthwatering. No hesitation in going back.

This Victorian hotel offers spectacular scenery overlooking Loch Lomond with quiet and relaxed surroundings. One can walk along the shore line or hike "the hill" to offset the traditional cooking that is scrumptious. All staff are friendly and hospital, as are the locals that frequent the restaurant and bar. You will definitely be involved in conversation and learn all about... More

The hotel looks a little tired and was difficult to find from the main road through Kilcreggan and could do with better signs from the village centre. We stopped with friends for lunch and whilst there were no other diners we were very impressed by the warm welcome and friendly reception. The food was excellent and the haddock and chips... More

My partner & i have now stayed at this lovely hotel 4 times. We were there Fri 10th April & once again had a wonderful night. We always ask for room 7 as in my opinion has the best view. Food is delicious & staff very very friendly. We will certainly be returning again very soon.

old fashioned place. In need of a spruce up. The food was decent, the kids menu the usual nuggets or fingers and chips which is very disappointing. The service is friendly, but a bit inexperienced. Not much choice in the parts so I would say it's average. Good views and location.

I stayed at the Kilcreggan Hotel for 4 nights with my partner whist attending a conference at a nearby venue. We arrived late at night and were checked in efficiently to room 7 which was very spacious with a family-sized bathroom and beautiful views over the water. We dined at the restaurant twice, and both times found the service to... More

A colleague and I visited this bar recently having walked from a nearby hotel for a change of scenery. Got the 'American werewolf in London' treatment when we entered giving me the feeling they don't welcome outsiders. After the barmaid served us she was told by who I can only assume was the manager what to charge for the drinks... More

Stayed here for almost 2 weeks while attending a conference down the road. A gentleman greeted me at reception who seemed pretty miserable and couldn't find my room key. My room was in the attic. Small cold and mouldy. Tiny shower room to match. Bed very lumpy with springs gone. Breakfast and evening meals were the saviour of this place.... More

I booked for 2 nights but left after 1. There were numerous issues starting from entry to my ultimate exit. The room was depressing and freezing, the hosting was poor;. The only positives were the waitressing staff and the excellent food, both of which I cannot fault

We visited the hotel for a meal a few weekends ago and decided to come back for a 2night break. It had been a long time since our last visit when we had a wee holiday home in the area. A very nice family have owned it for the last 3yrs and are making huge improvements to the place. It... More
