Booked a last minute room and so very glad we chose what is now called the Pier Hotel and Café Bistro. A well deserved name change. A small hotel with only 6 rooms. Our room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The hotel has a gallery and has an arty feel throughout. Dinner was excellent and freshly cooked and breakfast... More

We booked this hotel for four days at short notice 'out of season' - it's an older hotel which the new owners are renovating as they go along. I generally echo the remarks made by 'Weegie Glasgow'. We found the welcome to be very friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent, hot and freshly cooked.... More

The Pier Guest House is a nice clean establishment with a very pleasant bistro overlooking the loch. The food was good and the owner Ian, was very pleasant and helpful giving us advice about the area. The bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also had an excellent breakfast which set us up for the day. Overall... More

Stayed here one night, in Room 7 overlooking the Holy Loch, after having dinner with a friend. The room was very comfortable and modern, with a high-quality bed and bedlinen and a good night's sleep was had. The room and en-suite bathroom was cleaned to a very high standard. The only very minor complaint is that there could have been... More

We stayed in rooms 2 and 5 which were both well presented with a view of the loch. Ian was a fabulous host, extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the bistro was of an excellent standard and the hot smoked salmon is highly recommended! You can bring your own wine which was a bonus and... More

I loved the location. Right across the road from a tiny pier and gorgeous sunsets. Close to wonderful walks (Pucks Glen should not be missed ) My room overlooked the wooded area in the back but some rooms have a water view. That would be over the top gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious as well.

Third time we've stayed here for a long weekend and the welcome and service from Ian and his team is consistently excellent. Rotten weather but cosy and homely inside! Nice loch facing ground floor room. "Bring your own bottle" complements excellent food service. Highly recommended for a guest house stay and/or bistro visit. We very much look forward to our...
