Judith (J.M. Wilson on Google maps) is a farm girl gem, possibly the most accommodating of all the hosts on our trip through the UK. She is the owner and manager of Mount Farm B&B, located in Blackford a half mile off the main road. We met some members of her loyal clientele from Scotland and she rents to a... More

We spent two nights recently at Mount Farm. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Judith's friendly disposition was immediately obvious. Her tray treats on arrival were delicious. Judith's guided touch tour of our barn apartment left Geraldine who is visually impaired at ease and secure in her unfamiliar surroundings. Comfort, space, food, quietness, farm situation, excellent WiFi and disabled facilities made... More

2 wonderful rooms in the converted outbuildings which share a kitchen area so you have access to a fridge, sink, and washing machine should you need it - without any hassle. The room is very spacious with the bathroom bigger than some B&B rooms i've been in before! Completely dog friendly, and the owners dog is very obedient and friendly... More

We stayed at the farm again on the way to the Island of Raasay. It is a great stop over place. We were made to feel very welcome with home made cake on arrival. Fantastic after a long drive. The beds were comfortable and the dog was made welcome too! Good advice on a local pub for an evening meal.... More

We made Mount Farm our half way stop over from Hertfordshire to the Isle of Skye and also on the return journey. The place is lovely and we were treated as friends and made very comfortable. The children enjoyed the animals and the playful dog and we enjoyed being able to relax after a long journey. Homemade cake and the full... More

We used this B&B to access both the Lake District and Hadrians Wall. Very conveniently located just off the M6 but vey quiet as well. We found a very modern and high class barn conversion that is VERY spacious. Access is also provided to a separate lounge and dining room. Obviously pet friendly. Suitable for wheel chair access. Meticulously cleaned.... More

Close to the M6, but far enough away to be peaceful. Very welcoming with home made cake and tea on arrival. A bike shed and safe parking. A very good nights sleep and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended if you are biking up to Scotland as a half way stop, or just a nice place to stay.
