We were struggling to find anywhere to stay on Easter Saturday night that would accept dogs, so in honestly our choices were limited. However Stuart, who I would guess is the proprietor, was very very friendly, helpful and pleasant when I checked in. The room was clean, a little basic, but did have a sofa in it. The en-suite was... It was a last minute decision to have a couple of nights in the Borders/Cumbria with two small dogs. We wanted something personal not a faceless motel or lodge. I telephoned a couple of days before, having read reviews on trip advisor to check details and availability, Stuart was so helpful, honest and informative that after doing a bit more... More

I walked through the door and within minutes of talking to the guy who was checking me in (possibly the owner/land lord but not sure) felt like I was round a friend’s house. My bike was locked up in a back outhouse which was ideal. My particular room was small and old fashioned but very clean and comfortable and had... More

We stayed here overnight en route to the Highlands - we'd chosen the Graham Arms as we had our small terrier with us and the hotel was advertised as pet friendly. We're so glad we found this - without exception the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, probably the best we've ever met. Our room (no 16, at the front... More

After awful service, and quality at a nearby Travelodge (see previous review!) we found the Graham Arms on Booking.com and immediately booked, and set off. On route, we called ahead to ensure that our dog, Pickles, would be welcome. I spoke to Kirsty on the phone, who immediately managed to make us feel like we would be welcome at the... More

Visited the restaurant. Very pleasant food and service. Beef & ale pie was a particular favourite, as was the sticky toffee pudding. Very good value for money too. Would happily spend another evening at the hotel restaurant with my family. Thank you. Andy & Iona

Have spent the week at the graham arms and it was fantastic! Top quality food rivalled only by the quality of the service! The haggis and black pudding combo was a particular favourite! Had a family party and nothing was too much trouble for them!

I booked this hotel for a family group of 23 attending a wedding nearby. Throughout the booking process the staff could not have been more helpful. The manager Stewart leads a great team who are a credit to him. We were made to feel welcome and valued the moment we stepped through the door by all the staff. The hotel... More

After being relayed home after a vehicle breakdown the AA asked if we would like an overnight stay here. We took up the offer along with our dog. We arrived around midnight and the owner was waiting for us. There is a large bar downstairs with Sky TV but of course this was empty at this time. Shown to a... More
