We were visiting Stithians Lake for a windsurfing meet and I didn't fancy camping so we looked for a cheap b&b and found this one. From the outside flaky paint walls the place looked a bit tired. Don't let this put you off as the bedroom was very nicely decorated with free wi-fi, tea & coffee, biscuits, bottled water and... More

lets not beat about the bush. The Kings Head is ordinary and doesn't pretend to be anything else. It's a pub and the beer and food reflect that. The room was a pleasant surprise, although I can't remember when last I stayed in a room without even a wash basin, let alone an en suite bathroom. The shower room and... More

Stayed the Bank Holiday weekend using previous feedback from other sites. The location is outside Truro but being Cornwall within driving easy distance of most attractions. The room although large, over a public bar was not very clean as there were several small items under the bed. The bathroom, partitioned from the main room, needs updating and the shower re... More

We stayed in 2 en-suite bedrooms which were spacious and light, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were supplied. The breakfast was very nice although only served 8.30-9.00 but you do get a freshly made breakfast not something that has been drying out for 30 mins. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, my only regret was that we... More

Came here with my other half and loved it,the room was very clean and very light, the breakfast was just enough and well cooked and presented. Scotty, jenna and kenny were very helpful with finding local beaches and good local restaurants,we stayed 3 nights and cant recommend it enough. Also very central with Newquay, faulmouth and truro also within a 20 min drive.

We were just looking orr a cheap night in Cornwall before travelling to Leeds and this came up on late rooms for £39 for two with breakfast included. Very cheap!!. The room was clean and tidy with coffee making facilities. We had a shared bathroom which was massive and again very clean and tidy. The breakfast was average but edible... More

We needed a cheap bed and breakfast for 1 night before going onto a family party. We didn't expect much, but what a surprise we had. After quite a long hot journey, we were a little disappointed when we saw the outside of the pub, but what a difference when we went inside. The welcome we received from everyone including... More

Thoroughly recommend the Kings Head; Scott and Jenna and Kenny were all really friendly and accommodating at a difficult time for me and my family. The rooms were lovely and clean and very well priced. The food was really good (going to miss the cooked breakfast!) and I enjoyed a particularly good pint or two...

Booked this through lastminute.com for a visit to friends in Falmouth, the Kings Head is excellent value for money, it does what says on the tin, clean, tasteful furnishings and an excellent breakfast. the staff were efficient, friendly and professional in their attitude. Our room was on the 3rd floor, comfortable, quiet. I would return here without a doubt. Don't... More

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast fantastic! Free parking, and for the smoking visitor there is a charming garden, with steps down to a brooke. Very beautiful. Based in a central location, ideal for touring the local attractions.
