Salem B&B in Chacewater really is a country retreat, situated 50 yards along a country track and through a 5 bar gate, you really do feel totally away from it all. Our room was extremely well appointed with classic furniture and beautiful bedding. The large separate W/C and wet room was tastefully decorated and everything was spotlessly clean. The free... More

Read the reviews online and they were all so true. Great little find tucked out of the way. Lisa has got this place running like clockwork. All the little extras in the room that make you want to come back. Plenty tea coffee and the cream team on arrival was fantastic (scones still hot as just out the oven) Breakfast... More

Lisa has it sooooo right at Salem House. A lovely space and you will want for nothing. That bed is so comfortable and a Cornish breakfast that will keep you going all day. Look no further. Why this bit has to be a minimum of 200 characters is beyond me. We don't want to right an Essay TA.

We were lucky to find this gem for our samba weekend in Truro, and my husband's birthday treat. Situated in a quiet location, the house is pretty and interesting. The accommodation for guests is in the annex so you get a real sense of privacy whilst being looked after very well. The room is beautiful with sumptuous, tasteful furnishings. Lisa,... More

A lovely groundfloor room with lots of nice touches like fresh flowers, luxurious bathrobes etc.etc. The breakfasts were wonderful, with loads of choices -- cooked to perfection. Lisa our adorable host was an absolute mine of information. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It so happened that the 'weathergods' threw about a month's rain at us that week ,but... More

I stayed at Salem House for 30+ nights between Feb and August 2013 on business in Truro. Salem House is well positioned, providing rural tranquillity (I never had a night's sleep disturbed in any way) and yet not far from Truro and the rest of west / central Cornwall. My en-suite room and bed was very comfortable and pleasantly presented.... More

I booked this B&B as a last minute booking for a one night stay. When we arrived myself and my wife were greeted by Lisa. We were shown to our room which was immaculate and very well presented. It was nice and quite in a lovely peaceful setting off the main road. Breakfast was fantastic, the attention to detail and... More

Salem House is a rural Bed and Breakfast, set in an acre of private gardens, next to an historic old copper & tin mine and community. Salem House is part of the historic Tregothnan Estate. The house dates back to the 1600's, originally built for the Hornblower family, one of the historic mine owners of Cornwall. The house is steeped in history. Salem House is a "home from home" hosted by Lisa & Michael, with spacious, private accommodation and luxury furnishings. We offer freshly prepared local produce, cooked to order and freshly home baked cakes on arrival if visiting for more than 1 night.
