We had a lovely overnight in this luxury guest house Thomas could not have made us more welcome and was very accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were even provided with robes and slippers. The guest sitting room was very comfortable. The views were gorgeous Breakfast had a great selection of both hot and... More

Bright and spacious room, stunning view of the surroundings and a high end breakfast. Do try the signature salmon. Run by the friendliest guy and most service minded guy on the island. You do need a car to get there and the top location means it's quite windy if you want to enjoy the well kept garden.

We stayed here for three nights in July 2015 and everything was perfect. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner, with a glass of whisky on arrival. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were well located to explore the island and the setting itself was idyllic. I hope the return ASAP! Oh, and the breakfast... More

Stayed for two nights while passing through Islay. A late check-in after 9 PM was no problem and we were immediately made to feel welcome. While there is no bar, glasses and ice were provided for our own bottle of wine, which we enjoyed in "The Snug", overlooking the nearby fields. The rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. This was... More

Spent 4 nights at Skerrols House in July 2015, an excellent choice with top quality service, hospitality and breakfasts. Thomas goes out of his way to make the stay a pleasant one, from the welcoming cuppa to the packed breakfast/lunch which he organized for us on the last morning, in place of breakfast, as we were leaving at the crack... An amazing location in the middle of miles of sheep filled fields. Wonderful sunsets and totally quiet for walking in the evening. The room was well kept, modern, and quiet. There are common areas if you feel like socializing and an lovely little nook on the second floor. The proprietor is very helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. The house... More

Beautifully kept house, with well-decorated, well-furnished and very comfortable public areas and bedroom and gorgeous bathroom and products. We only saw the male half of the owners but he was polite, helpful and welcoming, providing a great breakfast with excellent fresh fruit and lots of choice, both cold and cooked.

We had 5 star treatment from the moment we arrived at Skerrols House, Islay. We were met by Thomas (who is a star) with a warm welcome and a fresh pot of coffee and croissants (we had just missed breakfast). Throughout our stay Thomas seemed to appear just when we needed him, with offers of tea/coffee or a wee dram... More

This B&B is designed for relaxation- the rustic location is beautiful and the hosts extremely friendly. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, with a lot of attention to detail making sure whatever you want or need is available. Breakfast was amazing. Go for the full Scottish breakfast- it is well worth it and large enough that you can probably skip lunch... More
