Our ferry to Islay was cancelled and we had to catch the later one. Our host, Thomas was one step ahead and realising that we wouldn't be arriving at his B&B until late evening, rang to see if we needed a table reserving at the local restaurant. This was just one of the many things that he sorted out for... More

Left Islay a few days ago after two nights in this marvellous B and B. It is completely faultless. A superb welcome from Thomas and his ongoing level of service was impeccable throughout our stay. The bed was so comfortable, the breakfast delicious, the building is fitted out with the finest fittings and furnishings and looks like something out of... More

What a great place. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable and the host, Thomas, was wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Thomas even sliced off the tops of our boiled eggs. Guests sitting room was comfortable and well decorated. One of the best BnBs we've stayed in.

Left Islay this morning after two nights in this marvellous B and B. OK, it may not be the cheapest but it is completely faultless. A superb welcome from Thomas and his ongoing level of service was impeccable throughout our stay. Spent last night at this immaculate B & B in magnificent country on Islay. Could not be faulted, the bed was sooo comfortable, the breakfast delicious, the only problem we experienced was finding the road at night! Thanks Thomas for your hospitality.

Stayed here for two nights and cannot fault it. Lovely welcome, spotless room and bathroom, great choice at breakfast and in such a peaceful location. Great little "snug" on the first floor to have a glass of wine as well! Tomas made us so welcome, and even gave us croissants for our onward journey. Skerrols is just a couple of... More

Three night stay whilst ticking off a "bucket list" item - the Islay distilleries. The welcome was very warm and the room excellent with a large bathroom. Tomas, who was fantastic throughout our stay, returned with a complimentary local drink. Breakfast was good. Great choice of fruit and cereals. Hot food choice of the full Scottish (no square sausage unfortunately)... More

Stayed for two nights B&B and really pleased we did - outstanding customer service where nothing is too much hassle. Everything from the room cleanliness, quality of breakfast, location and also the best advice getting around the island was received from the manager (Polish guy) who seems to do everything single-handedly at the hotel/guest house - staggeringly impressive service. This... More

As a top end of the market B&B this didn't disappoint. We stayed 3 nights and it was so comfortable, with a very attentive but not overbearing host, delicious breakfast and lovely views from all angles. With a car it seemed like the perfectly central location to go any direction on Islay. The nearby hotel served great meals and of... More

On the island, Islay, the drive along one-lane, narrow country roads across fields and over the top of hills led us to a white house standing alone in the vast landscape. Inside we found a handsome modern interior, understated and perfect. A friendly, cheerful greeting set the tone for our delightful stay at Skerrols House. The breakfast was delicious -... More
