We stayed here on a whim, booking only a week or so in advance for a quick trip to Samoa (4 nights) to escape the stresses of work. This place was just what we needed. Having done the resort thing some years before, we wanted to stay in a fale rather than an air-conditioned box. These are beautifully built (we... More

On telling my partner that we were staying in a treehouse in Samoa, she was very excited. And The Mangrove Garden delivered. It was simple and comfortable, the hospitality was amazing - we were even given direction to a private beach 15mins away. The food was extremely nice and homely. The hosts were second to none! I cannot fault this... More

Absolutely amazing experience!! I would recommend this place to stay for sure....as long as possible...WE FELT LIKE A PART OF SAMOAN FAMILY, as well as learnt a lots of samoan culture and lifestyle. The family beach was just for us 2!!! Unbelieveable. Stunning beaches without anybody, many papaya trees along the walkway, awsome food, I have no doubt about this... More

My boyfriend and I booked to stay at The Mangrove Garden for 10 nights after reading the great reviews. We stayed for 4 nights and decided to leave and experience other fales and beaches. The family that own The Mangrove Garden are very friendly and helpful. The tree house fale that we stayed in was a great experience. And the... More

Traditional Samoan fales, ie no walls or electricity, but no worries. You will be greeted and treated in the usual Samoan style...with a huge great smile! I stayed in a water fale and was a bit worried about mozzies but didn't see a single one. Don't stay here if you're expecting 5* luxury but do stay here if you're expecting... More

This place is really it. We stayed in the over water fale which was really just beyond description. The sound of the trees and water, the coolness, the quiet. And great value for money around NZ $120 a night for us both. This is a really natural oasis. There are lots of places on websites that talk about paradise and... More

We arrived at night, were picked up from the airport, accommodated in over water fale. It was so dark we couldn't see anything but heard the mangrove sounds, fishes and other animals living in the mangrove jungle, absolutely amazing. Then we woke up and see the beautiful place and we were so amazed. After breakfast we went to explore the... More

Not knowing much about Samoa before I went there I booked my accomodation last minute and trying to sort out from reviews of TripAdvisor (which was a challenge in itself), however I landed on the Mangrove Garden and don't regret it, it was just amazing. I would strongly recommend getting a airport pick-up or renting a car, because getting a... More

We stayed at Mangrove Garden for our first two nights in Samoa in the over water fale. The hosts, food, fale and family beach were fantastic! Would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone travelling to Samoa. The accommodation is basic- the shower is a simple water pipe and there is no electricity in the fales at night but the walkways... More
